who,s a member of the UKPSF???

just a quick question why don,t alot of ballers support the ukpsf,i know that bully puts alot of effort in on our behalf but we don,t support the federation.we as ballers would love our sport to be recognised as an official sport but we don,t seem to give our governing body our support.other sports do by making it compulsary to be a member of thier governing body or you do not take part in thier events,would this be a good idea in our sport? and would this give our federation a bit more clowt with the sports council

Im a member, trying to do my bit, though I dont see the UKPSF activly doing much other than supporting big games. Dont know, maybe its all behind the scene stuff that I dont see. Meh.

might suit the rec ballers better, however i would be paying for absolutely nothing.

I am not sure as it has changed since I was a member in the early 90's when Terry and Liz Martin used to do it, but I am sure it is mainly aimed at site owners and rec ballers nowadays. We used to HAVE to be members when the SWPL league (old old South West Paintball league) was started by Niall Squire years ago.
I know Steve has now taken it over as he said when I seen him last, but dont know all the ins and outs that go with it.
I am sure you can PM him if you have any questions.
Steve talks a bit funny but used to supply us some great camo and beer back in the day!!!

nothing in it for tournie players ,think again we all remeber the incident in Madrid with the bottle.right think about it guys ,if this incident happened too you and your equipment injured someone who do you think they will sue . you of coarse,then the health and safety will get involved and the site or event organiser will have to shut down so who will he sue for lose of earnings you.so being a member gives you public liability insurance at sanctioned events ie the pa tournies ,so it doesn,t help tournie players think again.just another point who do you think gets involved with the goverment or the police on our behalf when some young chav decides to use a marker in public and gets paintball a bad name the UKPSF. so think about it,its for all of us . just goto www.ukpsf.com and see for your self

I walk on players have to have UKPSF membership if they come to site I go to if they coe more than once. First time gear is checked and they are told to join or they can't come back. Been a few sent Bully's way over last few months.

how much do we put on piece of mind!!!! we will spend hundreds on new equipment but not £12.50 on being a member of the UKPSF and being insured to 5million pounds worth of public liabilty insurance and to be paid for time off when you are injured,I know £50 not alot but better than a kick in the teeth or financial ruin because it was your equipment that injured someone. yes before someone says it you could do it off your own back and get insured but would probable cost you a hell of alot more
