I don't think the "other" Pro's are making threats of an exodus, just out of sour grapes.
I think they just feel like they're out in cold.
Everyone seems to agree that there has to be a limit on the number of EXL teams, but those that don't get a spot aren't being offered much at all, as an incentive to play the MS this year.
They're being given very little info on how the rankings for promotion will work, and they are being slotted into the 4 events where there is no X-ball.
Forget the teams, and look at it from the MS point of view.
As a series they want to keep as many players in as possible, and obviously they can't implement X-ball across the whole tournament, until it's been tried, and the players accept it, but I think trying to keep both 7 man & X-Ball running for the Pro divisions is giving out the wrong message. If they are going to do the EXL, then they should make both Pro divisions X-Ball, which would satify most of the "other" Pro teams, and would give it a better chance of success.
From a business point of view, it would also make more sense to have the EXL at the 4 lower profile events, to give them a boost, because Toulouse and Campaign pull in the teams already, but I doubt that will happen.
