sometimes the rules do work the other way and teams are forced into am b with an almost completely new lineup. like portsmouth uni. now i don't really know whether we're more suited to novice or am b (guessing novice!) but we've played am b all season despite 75% of the line up being people who have never played paintball before (let alone a millenium series). still it does makes for some fun!

Obviously the TEAMS qualify to play where they are listed. Does that mean all the players do? Perhaps not but that wasn't the primary issue raised. And if any of you really cared about that you'd be all over the EPA bandwagon and insisting the Mil actually made some use of their ID system instead of the usual sniping about "sandbaggers."

Sandbaggers ain't fo' sh*t, but ho's n dicks......

I thought that you had to go through a bit of a mixed ability division to reach the Sunday Club anyway (or is this not the case anymore)?

Sandbag away guys cos whether your Nov, Am B or Am A, y'all getting some Monkey Loving. Whoever you are, your goona be having OUR game shoved so far down your throat y'all think you was the latest deep throated fellatio sensation.

Whatever, maybe some teams are too scared to play AmB, what, you think we're going to roll over an die cos it's da "Nov" division. If anything you just bought yourself some more game, and a little more love.

One ounce bothered.

Oh dear I've opened a can of worms here...

Well why not 'fix' the playlists to get all the bagging teams playing each other, that should sort the pond-scum out.

I'm glad to see that our team still fall into the novice catagory, We have been playing as a team since february, most of us have been on the sup-air for less than a year, even though we play in divison C in S2k3.

And as for this comment:-

sam,
leagues play differently from millenium in the uk
i.e div 1, div 2, div 3, div a, div b, div c,d,e,f, ect ect.
if all the leauges ran the same i.e novice, am b, am a, pro
we would not have this problem.
this would also make it harder to move down a divison if you've been playing am b or am a all season.
well done to team phoenix for movin up after they realised there to good to play novice.
maybe blakey, bully, spaklie, nelly ect should all get together
and set a standard so the whole nation runs the same.

Yo Geezas.

Totally agree with the comment of Am A & Am B being pointless. Lets use the Pro, Am, Nov, Rookie for 2004. Niall can this be done?

I play with the Jesters - We arn't great but have over the last couple of years played 4 or 5 MM legs so we took the step up.

Why other teams cannot do this I do not know BUT if the entry fee was the same across all level as per Mr. Colliers point it MAY just make a difference.

That is all.

sounds good. whats the point of a novice div if the real " novice" teams just get roll'd in 10 seconds by some teams that should be in a higher div? is it going to make that nov team want o come back to another millenium event? and will it make the sandbaggers better players?

all it does is make it a complete joke.

does show though what some sad *******s will do just so they can say they won a few games. bit like picking on the smallest kid at school and then telling everyone how you beat up on him though, isn't it???

What satisfaction.....

.....do teams like Nitro or Method (I'm sure there are many teams to whom this applies but I use these teams because I've seen them, have an idea who plays for them, their experience etc, and I believe they should NEVER be in the category they've entered) get from progressing to semis / finals in this category?

I saw Method win novice in Portugal and they whooped it up big style after their victory. With at least 3 players in that team who had played pro, I could not understand why they celebrated so much. For goodness sake guys, play at your true level, and let those at true novice level develop and have a chance to win among real peers.

Sandbagging does no-one any good.

My point exactly, they are nowhere near a rookie team, new to the sport, look at the sponsors you have and the events they have played over the year. And everyone always has an excuse as to why they should be in the nov section dont they........new players.......no training....untested team......this is the whole reason why we lag behind the rest of Europe and the US....teams are to content to take the easy option rather than push themselves. (There are exeptions obviously). *(THIS IS NOT A DIG AT RED HEAT, NEIL JUST PROVED MY POINT THATS ALL)

sam sorry about this mate but last year at campaign we had our arses handed to us i think we came about ten places from last a real nightmare for us it was. we have then played the midlands masters series this year and just got consistent no wins only a third in div b we have also changed the squad alot with new players. but not only that but we went out to toulouse to play and we entered in novice and to be very truthfull mate it was real hardcore out there i think we only won 3 games so that is the only reason we entered as novice for campaign as we was told there was going to be alot more teams entering it still is not going to be an easy event but yes i do agree with you about sandbagging but we have only gone off where we came in toulouse so sorry if we have offended anyone but next year we shall deffinatly step up to am b now yes there are alot of teams which i too can see that are not stepping up but lets just play the game and enjoy it. To me if we see a team on the stage that belong in a higher div then they have not proved anything and they are not going to get the respect from other teams all they have done is sandbagged the event to try and look good.

Hrm...

It would be really cool if there were some sort of system out there that would automatically publish a team list as teams registered, and keep track of what division teams are eligible to compete in.

I wonder where you might find such a thing?
