Well then...

Nevermind on the prizes - I also think that no prizes is just as good of a way to define divisions as rules.. but if that's what you're doing, you should still just can the rules, not have rules that don't really mean anything.

2--My mailbox has been hot with people pointing out that Method is made up of nearly all ex pros. What are they doing trying to play AM B??

3--I questioned their choice..It is still that, their choice, I asked them to reconsider. I think they knew!! Colby agreed that they have nothing to play for in AM B. Their only reason is they want to is to get the team to "gel" before next season. If this is the case they can just as easily acheive this by playing in Am A, without upsetting everyone in the process.

4--Hope this answers.

1--Good answer. (Btw, I didn't realize the depth of your feeling for me or is that more of that understated English sarcasm thing? :D )
2--then the explanation is they are allowed to in accordance with present M/S rules.
3--Fair enough, as long as they aren't being forced to change. I can think of a number of practical reasons for them to play Am B.
And it isn't "them" upsetting everyone. It's the perception of inequity in the system that is disturbing some. And forcing one team to move (which you haven't done--good for you) doesn't solve the core issue. I say, perception, cus there is no real inequity as long as everyone competing is competing in a division they are, by rule, allowed to play. There may be an inequity of ability but that's kind'a why the games are played, isn't it?
4--yes it does, thanks.

Who is being penalised?

One team who shouldn't be there or the team that they knock out that should be!

Agree the rule is sh1t and I am sure Joern will be changing it.

Dear Baca,

Its more of a term of endearment, no sarcasm intended at all. I was getting into Hamlet mode..Skull in hand etc.

Btw I agree.

I don't know if Method played the same team at the August STB as they are at CC, but in light of Method moving up to AM A......... I Notice that Team Illusion who came 4th in Division A of STB are entered as NOVICE even though they beat the following teams in their division:

Method
K2
Shockwave
SPG Spirit

at least two of which are enterd into CC as AM A

Hmmmm.....

Methinks CC is going to be very funny.........
unless you are playing....
Thanks Niall and all for your hard work, i hope this turns out to be a success and all those people who are sandbagging get a truely painful thumping on the fields. I am sure i can speak for my teammates, we will be handing some surprises out next weekend.

Good luck people.

we would not want to have to pay for the privilage of having competitive matches 3-4 out of 10.

This may be so but if the format of the first two days is the same as last year then your only gonna get that anyway as if you play am b then you will get to play an extra novice team if you play novice you take one of those places so if there are 5 novice teams in each group then you will play 4 novice teams if you enter at novice and you will play another am b team. If you enter at am b then you get to play 5 novice teams. so whichever you enter you would only get so many games that you could possibly win. so for any sandbaggers there not getting any easier a ride untill the finals. (if they can make it)
