What hit? Obviously that came off one of the bunkers. By your account the mark wasn't felt nor seen by any of the refs watching only the two players so clearly it wasn't a hit. Case closed.

I'm gonna have to go for the fourth option, if I've not felt the hit but there is sufficient paint that it could be a hit I'd have to call a marshall over and point it out to them, I'm guessing in that 1 on1 situation, in the finals at the World Cup there's gonna be at least 3 marshalls watching you like a hawk, if they've not already pulled you they're probably not going to.
mmmmm Run to get a new bunker and dive into there with the hand thats been hit.... Hopefully I will gain advantage on my opponent and ensure that my hand is WIPED clean.
I have seen so many teams do that in competition. Getting hit off the break and following up with a superman slide to wipe it all off.... but then again I'm not great at these antics and who knows I might get caught.... But who doesn't exploit that gray area... it's not worse than getting hit on a mug run and continuing.... and I have seen that done sooo many times. I have been told by players from VERY big teams that if you don't exploit the gray area you will find yourself at a disadvantage. Worth some meditation...

"Marshalll, just to let you know ive just smegged my barrel and managed to get the sh*t from my squeegee all over my gloves (hoping the marshall isnt French, speaks English and im shooting similar coloured paint!!).........Cheers marshall for cleaning it off so there's no confusion!"

Oh, I thought that was it. Losing a hit, continuing a run even though your covered in paint. What exactly is the grey area then? I though it was just another word for bending the rules = cheating.
