My postman.............. this is all true and currently being investigated (I didn't lodge a complaint until the last one as I was annoyed but not willing to cost someone their job).

1) Loads of mail just not appearing......... bills and statements..... no biggy, never anything that "cost me".
2) Postman carrying a can of lager on rounds. (not drunk, just the one).
3) Postman doing one side of street, his eleven year old kid doing the other!
4) Cash card vanished in post...... no cost to me, but massive hassle over Christmas because of it. Now getting angry
5) Letter from team mate (article he'd wrote and wanted me to proof read) Vanished.
6) The ultimate........ I ordered a set of dental scultping tools...... surgical steel very sharp, very dangerous and a selection of high grade scalpels/craft knives. ........... he left them on the step because he couldn't get an answer. I found them as I left the house to go to a tourney. (two days away). The only reason a big bag of knives wasn't thieved from my front door was luck. I should have left the night before, but got delayed......... I've lodged a formal complaint, this stuff was dangerous and should never have been left outside.

Makes me wonder what else has gone walkabout?

I'm a posty, I'm not sayin' the royal mail is Brilliant but we do try our best to make the payin' coustomers happy and get the service they want!

I personally have delivered parcels with paintball related stickers on the packaging, so if i know what it is someone else who plays paintball will, my message is dont advertise what the item is and use recorded delivery this way you will be insured;)

I've sold some gear on e-bay and had no problems with royal mail, if you have your doubts about them, then use another service!

I do, but people have a tendency to send things via the royal mail when I order them..... the buggers :)

Recorded delivery is a good idea......... insurance to make sure someone does the job you've already paid them for :)

I'd like to send this package.

£1.50

OK, I'd like it to get there too.

Oh, £7.50 then

:)

I don't care i got my £1000 bonus;)

The royal mail was losing £1 million pounds a day, they are now making a proffit of £1.2 Million pounds a day, they must be doing something right;)

Wont be long before the government sells the royal mail again to someone else that wants it, remember consignia?

I've had god knows how many problems with mail.

I don't want to stereo-type, and I'm by no means racist, but I've seemed to have problems with immigrant relief postmen (I know he was an immigrant relief postie as I called my local office to complain, and that's what they told me!).

Apparently they are not allowed to deliver parcels, so why employ them in the first bloody place! The card said they attempted to deliver, but if they can't even try how the hell do they attempt?

If they are making 1.2m profit, then they should bloody invest in better staff (no offence to any decent, honest, hard workin posties... all 5 of you!)!
