But look on the bright side all you Angel owners can go buy yourselves different markers now..would say better ones but that might upset you !!..

But what a great reason to tell your Wifes, Girlfriends, Boyfriends, Husbands..

"sorry darling I had to buy this gun due to the fact there's no tech support at the tourney"

FANTASTIC.....

I might just pretend my ego is a angel and tell my wife that the SL66 is what i had to buy and lie about the price..:D

Actually... I don't even think companies should pay promoters ANYTHING to support their customers at events.

They are providing a valuable service that makes the event better for the players.

Both NPPL, PSP and MS should let manufacturers set up tech stands for free.

That having been said - it would be prudent for companies that get to support their customers at events, to also support the event series as sponsors!

more interestingly, will other companies follow suit or will they capiailise on this and further their own percieved domination on the market?

I asked this question before the first Mill Event, when Nexus, Joy & Xsv were having the problems with Mill & NPPL Events 'clashing' , 'What if the major sponsors pulled out of the Series?'

Looks like this could be the first step, how long before Planet, Dye etc follow suit?

'All hand's to the pump' for the Mill Board.....or.....they could continue as usual and 'not give a ****!'

Sponsors account for maximum 25% of the Series revenues... so a LOT will have to pull out, before it makes a significant impact, taking into account the expences incurred by having them participate :)

However, if you start to lose the sponsors and the tech help you soon start to lose the players, and then the entry fees, so the revenue will begin to fall more and more until the board realise they actually have to do something to save themselves!

But even if a large amount of tech tents stopped attending the millenium, would that really influence your decision to play the millenium or not? I know it probably wouldn't influence mine enough to not go.

Most teams have a designated tech nowadays so things can be fixed in the pits...and more importantly at local tourneys or training where there's not usually a tech tent anyway.

Or could it be that WDP are mighty confident about their new toy, which will require no maintenance and will never break :p
