Forgot to put this in.

Trigger bounce in electronics, is the circuit reading the switch press so quick, that it reads more than one contact each time the switch is activated. From what has been described, the marshalls are looking for a physical bounce on the switch, which is without a doubt two presses, therefore legal.

I get the feeling that this trigger bounce rule, is a bit of a "jobsworth".
Players may travel the length of Britain, or even across the water, to play in these tournaments, for a marshall, (with all the good intentions in the world), to stop you using a gun which he feels has trigger bounce.
Don't get me wrong, rules are rules, and i would be the last person advocating breaking any rule, but this seems a bit over the top.
Who defines trigger bounce, and where does it state the definition.

Yes, The Bible according to the Trigger Bounce Facists.

I think the above example shows how far this is being taken.

If a gun dosen't bounce on it's first pull, alot of the safety issues re "mugging someone and a bazillion pulls come out" or the "goes of in a safe area" are largely nullified.

If a gun goes auto on a single pull then yep pull it, but spending 30 seconds manipulating the actuation point is nonsensical and not a safty issue.

I can agree that some issues exist re it being de-facto auto in game, but alot of players can walk it just as quick as bouncing it, balls in flight are balls in flight as it were.........

It was held at the sensor and when the gun kicked there was sufficient movement to re-activate the trigger. If it had been fired normally the kick wouldnt have been sufficient as the trigger would have been at its standard position.

Slim, that is two presses, legal in my book. If the gun moves the position of your finger and the switch resets and fires again when the gun returns to its original position, that's two presses. Clear definitions are required here, from what slim has said the marshall is penalising him for having a good trigger job.

Think that was the reason he took mine to have a look, I play the bagpipes and can hit ridiculous rates of fire.

I would have thought, "trigger bounce" in a paintball gun is, if the trigger is pressed once and let go, and then and only then without any outside agency touching the trigger, the gun fires again, then that is illegal.
But to check this with your fingers still holding the trigger is "no way of checking". (nearly said bo##ocks then)

There was an artical in PGI about testing a super fast marker to ascertain if it was firing with or without actuation of the micro switch.

In this instance the microswitch was being actuated and therefore constituted being fired and was therefore legal (Firearms law).

I can understand the imperitive behind this in trying to stop guys firing at 25 bps but at the same time I fire mine a less than 10 bps and my marker can not be made to not double ball on occasions.

It needs to be a national decision I think rather than at tourney level.
