Ok heres the score,

Recently played a tournie, last game marshall comes over takes my gun starts firing it normally, no trigger bounce. He then starts slapping it, gun didnt fire and didnt bounce, he then places two fingers one on each side of the barrel pinching it and pulls it back really slow and holds it at the firing point, the guns fires normally, he repeats the above proccess 10-12 time then the gun fires two balls. Rushes over another Marshall and explains that the gun has trigger bounce. The other marshall the repeats the above proccess until the gun fires two balls with the trigger held at the firing position.

Can someone explain to me the definition of trigger bounce as you can make any electro marker do this when you hold it on the firing point if you try hard eough. Also could someone explain the methods used for testing for trigger bounce.

Marshall Wasn't Russel but I put his name at the top as hes probably the man with the answers.

Thanks for your help.

Slim.:)

(not griping or moaning or anything, just want the facts).:)

jesus.........if you hold any electro trigger at the firing point it will bounce........that's what bounce is.having the trigger SET so light it's almost at the firing point. But if he has to move it and carefully hold it? I can see that working on the field

Did the same thing to me at the Nottingham tourney, old shocker that I had only just got working properly after having it for as year (Sent it to Smartparts twice in the end my mate fixed it).

I was pulled up for double firing occasionally, took them ages to emulate it and banned the marker. Pissed off cos there is nothing to do to adjust the trigger on it. THAT IS HOW IT FIRES.

Only way I will be able to use this marker again is probably a new trigger frame and firing board (Dome switch style) which will probably be the value of the marker.

A bit over kill for an extra ball which is probably 1 in 50 shots or less.

Yeah all he was doing was manually shortening the trigger by holding it, can you see where the problem is? Where do we draw the line? Any electro will bounce if you hold it and take the time to find the firing point, regardless of how far it travels either way.

This is the question.

Dont see how you can call the gun illeagle by doing this, its not like your gonna sit on the field during play trying to do this

it took the marshall 12 tries though...... not going to be an advantage on the field.

Turned my E-blade up to .3 though
Yeah at least. When I got this gun you could slap it and it went into what was like full auto, I adjusted it so that you couldnt and also tried the "pincer" on it, couldn't manage it,

I still haven't managed to achieve the double fire from the pincer.

I'm looking at this from a purely physical point of view. Is the rule one press or pull of the trigger one ball fired.
If so trigger bounce must be the microswitch or sensor actually repeatedly switching the circuit from one press.
With the case of the microswitch, a good quality switch will actvate with such a short amount of movement, that it would be impossible to measure with a finger, whether or not it was one press or a reaction from the switch activation effecting the finger pressure. Therefore there would be two presses of the finger, albeit a very small movement, but still two presses all the same.
