Chrono limit

On field chrono

Before the advent of the on field chrono, a marshal at the Series 2001 (I think) went up to a player and asked him to put three shots over his new "on field" chrono, this he did - so did several players during the day until they found out it was his "watch"

You know how a radar chrono "pips" when the shot is over 300, another marshal put his radio in the battery compartment and when players tried their markers he pushed the call button on another radio, this made a sound on the hidden radio. Players were baffled by the pips when their markers were firing at 290fps.

That reminds me Steve, at Campaign Some of the Dyehard guys, I think it was Craig and Paul were at the field Chrono waiting to go on, i stood to the side of them with my mask on after each shot (around 280 fps) I'd let out a ping sound, I thought they'd never fall for it but sure enough they kept shooting over and adjusting, quality!!

The radar chrono on the Angel field must have been having my life. I chronoed my marker and it was fine. About 285-290 and then bent down to put it in the racking. My head went near the screen of the radar chrono and it made a reading. My head was HOT! 346fps aparently!

I hope that was someone winding me up

not so much a wind up....
Last year at Kenny's I was running the chrono station at the main gate.............. 3 chronos playing up so I assumed it was the damp...........went to change the batteries........and all three were full of chips and ketchup.

And my apologies to the owner of the red van.......... he parked up against the chrono station back netting, I told him he had five minutes to move it, he didn't come back......... 200 + players all chronoing into netting a foot from his van.............I didn't go back to look.

ah the pipe! did we have some fun with that!
its easy really all you gotta do is blow it hard enough to make the little wheel at the top spin, you gotta blow DAMN hard, if you dont blow it hard enough then you get a mush full!

we got LOADS of people with it, the pheonix lads went for it, chris from k2/planet and a we had the dynasty lads in stiches with it!

watch out for the pipe, coming to a tournie near you!
