Well it's been over a full season since ramping tournie's were introduced around the world and just wondered what everyone's preference was now all the excitement/politics have died down over it.

Let me be clear - not interested in any debate whatsoever as to the merits or disadvantages of ramping or semi modes. Just curious as to what the majority of people feel.

Would prefer the opinions of people who have played both uncapped semi and 15BPS ramping...

What's your preference?

MODS: A poll on this may be interesting (or maybe not....) :)

Played both... no real preference as long as EVERYONE is using the same mode :)

Like ramping when shooting left handed or running and gunning... seeing as during either of these I can shoot about 2bps ;)

Seem to shoot more paint when ramping though and shoot less people as if somehow distracted by how much paint I'm shooting as opposed to where I'm actually shooting it. Might just be in my mind that though but it is the way it feels at times...

Playing down at Warren's fantastic site in Ashford, as I (we) tend to do..he runs a 280Fps limit, and I think...that ramping is great, with that limit on it...I do think that a full 300fps limit combined with ramping, is a touch on the iffy side.

Not that I am a big girls blouse, but the extra 20 fps does make a difference.

But yeah...shoot more paint, but it makes running and gunning, off hand shooting etc, easier..which is nice!

Played both ALOT and dont really see what all the fuss is about with ramping.

Extra speed and more paint? Get your guns sorted and you should be able to shoot 15bps or even more in semi

As for running and gunning at 15bps, thats what trainings for if your struggling .

Although as a gun rule in order to "stop" cheats, then yeah ramping it is, although even then you have teams/players ramping over the 15bps , so back to the same old, same old we had with semi, but with ease for cheating faster :(

So SEMI

Given that i think all tourny are capped at 15.4 in the UK it doesn't really matter.

Overall I prefer ramping especially as that is what millenium use and I haven't found any difference in the amount of paint I use, but it could make paintball at the rookie level very painfull(i.e. lots of over shooting and huge paint bills).
