leetucecheesecake, let me explain something here and it's best done in this way, why didn't you ask the question, 'Joy Division in PGI'?
Now, the Legion are undisputed kings of the XBall pile, the rest of us are just scrambling for the crumbs of minor places and who the heck cares about 2nd place onwards anyway, apart from of course the 2nd place onward people.
The Russians basically clean up in this department, and so they should, they deserve it.
Joy Division are the next best XBall team and so on down the line....you get my point I hope, the Tigers are just another team who play XBall behind the Russkies.
Now, you can well ask why Nexus get so much publicity when compared to somebody like the Tigers, or more importantly, Joy.
It's all to do with marketing and promo. Dye, Planet, PMI and PGI all use Nexus in their marketing strategies because they all sponsor Nexus.
And why do they sponsor Nexus?
Because, Nexus are marketable in many ways not least of which, all these companies recognise Nexus as an international team that plays and proves itself in both XBall and more importantly at the moment, the NPPL in the US.
Nexus has a brand image that works for us and our sponsors...end of.
This image didn't happen on its own, both Ledz and myself have worked extremely hard in creating it.
We have a Nexus EBlade, a Nexus range of clothing and so on...you can't frikkin moan at me or anybody else on PGI because the Tigers don't know how to market themselves or their sponsors don't wanna use them in their ads.
The Tigers are not used by their sponsors in advertising (you will have to ask their sponsors why not and not me) and do not play the NPPL, these are two hugely important reasons why you don't see them as much as Nexus in the magazines.
The Tigers, or anybody else for that matter, can do the same if they feel if they have the vehicle for such promotion.
The Tigers aren't world wide known I'm afraid, sponsors want teams to represent them who are known in the US (as well as Europe) and can do a professional job in representing them both on the field and off.
As Sam has already observed, the NPPL is huge compared to the EXL. The EXL ain't even in the same ballpark, it's small time and when the Tigers make it in the big time (the NPPL) then they, like anybody else in the big time, will get thier due exposure..understand??
Contrary to what a lot of people would have you believe, I do not select the pics for PGI, I do sometimes for my article, but hey, who the hell are you to tell me what pics to use and what not to use for my article?
If you are referring to random pics used in PGI, then we are hostage to whatever pics are sent in.
Photographers are basically a law unto themselves, they take pics of whoever they feel is gonna get the best shot, if the Tigers, or anybody else for that matter had a great and useable pic of them, believe me, we would use it, I HAVE NEVER TOLD ANYBODY ON PGI NOT TO USE A TIGERS PIC !!!!!
DO YOU UNDERSTAND THAT????
If the Tigers wanna get themselves in the mag more, go play in the US and qualify for Sunday clubs, promote themselves at every opportunity they can, get their sponsors to use them in ads and so on, it ain't my fault they don't and please don't ask me to start putting them in because they beat Nexus at XBall a couple of times, there are a few more teams ahead of them in that department and they gotta do a whole lot more than that.
We have proved ourselves internationally, we have done and invested in our apprenticeship, if they, or anybody else wants the accolades, let them do what we have done but in the meantime, I am gonna go find some pics of Joy Division, Ton Tons or Legion, these guys have all done the work !!
Now I have no idea who you are or who put you up to this thread, but make no mistake about it, it is obvious you were put up to it; this kinda schoolground strategy is gonna get you guys nowhere.
Anything else ?
