my mistake ben, i was thinking of the orracles without eblade, they r 720 or something, but 200quid isnt much considering your already paying 800quid for a marker.

Mmmm, just got my IR3 running (and looking IMHO) sweet. It would have to be seriously impressive to make me spend any more notes!

A team mate should be bringing his to practice this Sunday so hopefully I can see what all the fuss is about...

That's not an e-orracle my boy, that's a Planet Eclipse one.

I'm fully aware you can get any old cocker and slap an e-blade on, I was talking about the Eclipse E-blade cocker e.g. Walk in ask for the marker - yes, sir, that will be £1050.

As opposed to a Fly IR3 - £800 all in.
Impulse Vision - £500ish

That's why I was saying they are expensive - if you just want to go and buy the marker - all set up ready to rock. Not dig out you're granddads cocker and spend an evening in the garden shed bringing it into the 21st century :D

Paintball Warehouse
Angel IR3 fly = £1105
Angel IR3 = £910
where are you getting your IR3 fly at £800?
You are also comparing the top of the range cocker with the bottom (almost) of the range Impulse. Lets be fair
The eclipseblade is easily equivalent to the IR3 Fly and the price does reflect that.
Remeber that in essence the eclipse blade is a modified mechanical cocker with an electronic trigger added whereas the Angel and the Impulse are electronic markers full stop. You would expect them to be cheaper.

Hi Dark Warrior,

Best place for Angels, price wise, is London Paintball Supplies. IR3's there start at about £700

http://www.londonpaintballsupplies.uk.com

Chris and Jon there are very helpful chaps!

Agree with you about the Impulse though, that isn't the tricked out one. But it is a fully set-up and ready to go marker.

The point is, the Eclipse EBlade Cocker is a VERY expensive marker. That's all I'm saying. I felt like a lunatic spending £700 on a marker - it would have to be out of this world for me to even consider it at over £1000! Don't get me wrong - it might be worth every penny but £1050 is a lot of cash in anyones book.

Re E blade

Well 1St planet have exceeded them selfs with this one as there are thousands of cockers out there and many people wont be able to afford the full new E Blade , so planet has made it more affordable for the up grade trigger which is great economy for the serious paintballer, myself and most of our team run on new factory e blades and i wouldnt swap it for out else its the perfect tool to the sport .:) :D ;) :p

May be so, but if planet got WGP 2K3 Cocker bodys and added eBlades to them they would cost around £700.
And looking at LPS's prices for the Angel LCD convert that to UK currency it comes to £860 compared with £800 at PW
WDPs own price for Angel IR3's is also £910 exactly the same as PW
So I would question how a retailer can cut over £200 off a new marker.

Dark - LPS have already advertised the 2003 LCD for £599 inc VAT on these very forums (check the classified section). If you don't believe me about their prices - give them a call.

A retailer can cut that much money off because do you realise how much frikkin money WDP make off an IR3 at listed price!!! Now that is no bad thing as WDP do great things for the sport - but how the hell do you think they afford to sponser all those teams? They have to sell at an RRP (of sorts) to protect their margins, and rightly so.

Anyway, I am veering off topic...

Of course you can slap an Eblade on a standard cocker - but you are not surely saying that it will have the same performance as the Eclipsed Eblade Cocker? Or are you? Surely there is something beyond cosmetic enhancements to it? If not - hell, I'm ordering a bog standard cocker and e-blade! :D
