This Millennium 15BPS rule...

Also, just imposing this rule won't get rid of the cheater boards. The poor, honest sods will see their BPS go down dramatically, while the cheaters will just have boards that are capped at 15 BPS, still giving them a higher avarage ROF, still making it hard for us to catch them. Ain't a damn thing changed then.

So it ain't so much the cap I have a problem with, but it's the combination of this cap, combined with this no ramping rule (assuming it means no added shots, rather than velocity, which I think is rather obvious) that seems to drag us back to the days of Cockers and Mags...

Hang on. Quoting from the Millennium Series' announcement...

"More info on the new rules to be released in the next weeks."

Isn't it fair we give them a chance to elaborate on this 15bps cap before passing judgement?

This whole debate just goes in circles- a marshal is still going to be unable to detect a code protected cheater board thats capable of pushing 15bps out with 4bps being pulled?

The 'device' will still only tell whether they exceed 15bps- which they wont do because the board if programmed that way won't allow them to.

Anyone who sticks to the semi only - ie no cheat board will be penalised by having to adjust their debounce to levels that will make it impossible to get anywhere near 15bps (with the ruling at it's strictest)

Level playing field- my deep blue eyes! ( i don't have blue eyes by the way) ;)

if goggle manufacturers believe that more than 15 bps will risk destroying their goggles then that information should be obsereved and the 15bp rule should be applied on safety grounds- this i have absolutely no problems with

i'm really not smart enough to think of a better option other than allowing every player to use a ramping bps board which will cap at 15bps- this will level the field as anyone shooting over that will be caught by the 'device' goggles are safe- an we all got a lil extra love for the pleasure of using ramp:p

i know that this will cause problems withing the law in certain countries- just out of interest which countries other than the uk (which is under negotiation) will this cause legal issues with?

lets be frank (i dont like being benny) its jsut gonna continue to run round in circles, if they do this 15bps rule they will realise by the end it was ****e. The only way to eliminate these problems is beating it at the source, where it begins!

ain't gonna happen is it joe- would you buy a gat advetised as shooting 15 bps! bet your timmy wouldn't look so good with that in the ad.

manufacturers will always make these boards- they will continue to make them look exactly like stock boards, and so no one will be able to tell unless they chance upon the code to unlock the ramp- i bet if most of the top teams gats were pulled apart there would be at least one that had an 'original' board with a cheat hidden in it- entrougue anyone (sp?) the manufacturer/ team owner wants their team/ product to shine and have the edge- if they're shooting machine guns and blasting fields apart and still appearing legal- well they're gonna take that chance aren't they - i only know one manufacturer who i truly believe will resist putting cheat modes in their teams guns. - but how long?

i meant the source like advatangepb etc etc

n about my timmy, i might aswell sell it and get a nigwan bone daddy mik mak wokka wooka III paintball gun for £95 and get a ramp board

what paintball really needs is something like UEFA, FiFa and FA's

this is the only way i can see that paintball will progress.

(sorry for the lame names, just examples)

WPF - world paintball federation. Oversees all paintball shizzle in the world

EPA - European paintball association, oversees all the European happenings

UKPF - UK paintball fed - maybe associated with UKPSF, oversees all the UK happenings

it dont mean these organisations have to run the events but they have to approve them etc

every single player that wants to play an official tourney much be signed up with the WPF, EPA and UKPF. Anyone caught using cheat boards is banned and cant play for a year or whatever. Even if advantgepb etc are still around they have to give the details of the person buying n using the cheater board, this player is blacklisted on the list. I wudn't touch a cheater board with a barge pole this way and neither will anyone else if the punishments are so severe!
