awesome awesome awesome

I was there, it was all rehearsed, we all had input, the crew treated us all like professionals and listened to every bit of advice we had to offer.

This thread has surprised the hell of me because up to now I have only counted one stupid, clueless fool who (A) wasn't there and (B) has nothing better to do but whine about tournament paintball (not camo allstars) being on tv. What's the matter bro?? Jealous?? You not get your invite?? Wonder why.

Big up to the BBC for airing it.
Big up to Hatts and Paintball UK for organising it.
Big up to the Manc Union boys:
J-doe
Chris Latham
Eddie Lowe
Steve Brown
and Flash for doing everything right.

And a super big up to Jonathon Ross and Tuffers for letting em shoot them in the ass.

A lot of the celebs in the green room later on were asking us about paintball and didn't even know there was this side to it.

Now they do, and so do millions more.

That's a good thing.

Oh, an extra bit of love for the BBC for putting half a dozen scruffy ballers in the plushest hotel I have ever been in, in my life.

:D

You da men :D

I thought it was great, even down to the specific shots of watching the panel put on 'safety protection'.

It was atrocious [sp?].!!!
Made a point of wearing googles? What woodshop googles you call this protection? This hasn't been accepted as a form of protection since the early 90's. And what about the auidence a shot of them all wearing googles would have been nice but I'm suspecting that they were wearing no form of protection at all [can anybody clarify this?]
The beeb has just shown a numerous amount of people [16-35 age bracket is the biggest for this show] how to inflict pain on unsuspecting members of the public. I can just see hordes of youngsters heading down to thier local P8ntball store to buy markers tomorrow, just to shoot thier mates.
When will the media stop seeing our beloved sport as a game and treat it with the respect that we do.
Media coverage yes, but provided it is held with the correct safety in place. This form of Clap trap no.

Rant Over

Clueless??? And as for camo all-stars what the f?? You should know by now I'm a tourney player, not very good but still a tourney player. Hell you've even met me up at Skirmish Nottingham at the last Nexus Training day there. I saw the show and came to the conclussions that the general public do. They don't know that the auidience have googles or any form of eye protection. All they see is a group of people holding what looks like to them Guns and then for a laugh shooting celebrities. This in my eyes portrays paintball in a bad light. In the past when the 'feel the sportsman' round has featured an obscure sport [not generally known to the public] in a previous round there has been a 'Whats going on here' sort of thing. If they had shown some footage like this previously then it wouldn't have been so bad, at least then the public would know that tournement paintball is an organised sport. As it stands to the public it appears that paintball is just a way to inflict pain on others.

As for jealous, well not really and I ranted because I was concerned about the way the media sees paintball, but thats no need for a flaming.

PS Phil if thats the best flame you can come up with I would give up if I was you.
