The Rules (playing in shorts)

Gald to see you are on my side tyger. Banning shorts and pads is absurd, and pulling someone out in the middle of the game for it is a heartless thing for one (i assume) player to do to another.

Come on people, maybe if we kick up enough of a fuss we can get the rules changed!!!

Paintballers everywhere will soon be able to feel the wind between their legs again..............

I guess i should think more before i type. You guys do alot for paintball and I really dont think you'd do that to us.

Im still unsure that a barrel bag is more safe than a well fitting bung.

Barrel Bags

I agree

A good fitting barrel plug is excellent. The Millennium seemed to have adopt the barrel bag, some are OK.

I think the idea behind the bag is that it is more visable than a barrel plug. There seems to be a trend towards the smaller plugs and even anodised like a barrel therefore they are not visible. A good locking plug, a standard push plug or a barrel sock will be OK at Series 2002 events.

The rules at most events require covered legs although I have not been enforcing it at my events, and maybe I should.

I would also point out that most rules allow for a clothing inspection and therefore you should have been informed prior to the game about the shorts, or even earlier in the day. I know several player were told on the Saturday morning about shorts.

Rules are currently being rewritten by the UKPSF and again we will look into any changes.

I like having my knee pads on the outside. They have a nice hard smooth surface to slide on and it does not mess up my JT's. I don't think it should be a rule though..., and as for the shorts thing, what if it is the middle of July? That is a pretty dumb rule

Hey, I like the bags too, I personally have shot about 5 or 6(accident, a bitch to clean though) into mine and it is still fine. I think they are a lot safer cause I know people are lazy and it is easy to just push the plug in past 1 o ring instead of taking tine to put it all the way in.

The trousers are always on my stand and I sold no more than I would expect at a big event. I sold out of most sizes because I only stock two of each size, BUT no one came to me for trousers beacuse they had been told to change their shorts!!!!
At Skyball last year I was unaware of the no-shorts rule. It kinda snuk up on me at the captains meeting. I was informed there that I "Had to" go out and buy a pair of long pants.

I spent most of the morning hitting up all the vendors asking for prices on pants. Only one had my waist (40), and it was a 32 lentgh (too short), and it was Raven.

Point is it happens, jut most players won't run to a vendor and say "Teh ultimate told me to change my pants. Got anyting in a 38?" That being said, I'm packing long pants for this Skyball, and I still love my undercover Leopard print!

Until paintball has a STANDARD uniform, I would like the option to wear shorts if I want to. Ok, granted, the idea that a paintball can sneak under a leg is there. But I really think that comfort should be at least addressed with rules. In the meanwhile, I'll work within the rules to be comforable. (Still can't find a jersey long enough or pants long enough with enough stretch o I can MOVE in them!)

That and we need sex appeal! If Keeley Watson wants to show us her legs, we should have the right to see them!

Wait, umm... how'd she get in this?

WHY can't JT or some other company m,ake pants for LONG LEGGED dudes?
I agree

And also aggree with the sentence about
Keely's legs :D

If shorts were to be worn, would leg hair be deemed cheating?? Would they make you shave your legs (as one of my friends is a carpet monster for instance).
Other things with pads may be (with some pads) items such as velocity keys could maybe be concealed but, the biggest concern would be about the bareskin/paint and wiping off - for instance a shot wipes clean on skin, whereas on material it usually leaves some kind of stain and welt are not always visible. Also it may be much harder to tell if someone has leant in paint
