This announcement came approximately one year after Dick Clark Productions announced at the Philladelphia Open that they had agreed to represent the National X-Ball League in an effort to get an NXL television show into production and on air. As contracts were still in the process of being completed, DCP was limited in what they were able to say, but league commissioner Mike Ratko confirmed that the deal is in place to have the NXL on the air before the end of 2004, and not just on cable, but on one of the “big 5” broadcast networks.
