Whatever it is that you want to know, just spit it out, sans sarcasm, and you may find the answer more logical.
Shroud your question in fluff and you will just make it more difficult to know what you mean. This disputed 'point' is clearly important to you, so what is it?

Nick - you suck!

side-note: Told you the job needed a new poll to liven it up a bit.....

How many teams does not really matter (not to me anyway), fact is they come and steal (is this the 3rd time I wrote this?). If a Euro league allowed US teams to play, they would still steal and it would make a mockery of the Euro league. If you don't allow them you give up that attraction. Its a tough choice.
It seems like the prize is almost small enough to insure that no American teams will come and steal it. There are ways to prevent something without making it impossible. Perhaps if the prize were to include free entry to the following Millenium event, the Millenium could bankrupt the best American teams on travel expenses and thereby reduce training resources to a level where the Euro pros could have some chance of winning? It could be the way- while America get better and better at shooting things, the Europeans get better and better at taking away their lunch money through trade... this could be big.

I'm sorry to say I don't really enjoy debating with you - not because you are in any way "winning" the argument - but because you tend to debate like a woman.... you choose things out of context and latch onto them - and make those misconceptions of my true meaning your basis for further dialogue.

That way you never really reply to a question or comment fully and nothing is ever resolved.

Maybe your alter ego is truer to your nature than I originally thought? :)

That having been said - I really don't take your insults to heart - so to alleviate occasional boredom, I'll comment on some of the things you say, at my leisure:

- You contradict yourself when you say that US teams will pick up Euro players to any significant degree, when you also say Euro players don't have nearly the same talent as any gruop of kids at SC Village.

- You won a game against the Ducks once - how cool is that !! - must be one of your prouder moments in paintball? - OH - did I tell you? - I once shot Olliver Lang in a game... it's true - really - it IS!!! :):):)

- Don't really care to discuss my past results (or lack thereof) in a public forum, as that can too easily be misunderstood for bragging... so go ahead - take your cheap shots all you like - you won't get a raise out of me on that account :)

- Don't think I could make a top team with european players, with the right budget? - Don't really care... because the point really wasn't whether I could do so personally - but whether the concept was feasible.... I am touched however, that you have taken such an interest in me, that you know all about my capabilities.... it's really quite flattering - are you a fan - deep down, beneath that standoffish posturing? :)

(it would however be interesting to hear from - for instance Pete - if he thinks he could create such a team, given the same budget as one of the top US teams, and being able to pick any 10 players in all of Europe?)

- Apology for what? - have you forgotten to take some form of medication for paranoia you were supposed to remember at regular intervals?... and an apology won't get me out of what exactly?

- Alterior motive? - Hmm... apparently you are blind to the things I write when they do not allow you to keep your (apparently extreme) temper at a high... because I specificly said that I had no idea whether you had an alterior motive or not. - I decidedly said that if you did NOT have an alterior motive with that post, I DID owe you an apology... If you know in your heart you didn't have an alterior motive, you have your apology.... So what is your problem exactly (aforementioned lack of medication?)?

- Comparing team budgets - I fail to see why you keep debating this... Either you guys are paying your main European team WAY more than most other teams on the continent are getting.... or you suck at math..... ALL the NXL teams plus at least 4 US NPPL teams are way beyond the reach budgetwise for Euro teams.... so in fact it's more than 5-6 teams..... someone (was that you?) said "benefactors not sponsors".... but I don't care where the money comes from - the important thing is how it is spent.... and how much paintball those teams can play compared to the best teams in Europe - and with what players.

- You don't think a European team could be created that could be a contender?.... You don't think - in all of Europe - you could find 10 players with that kind of quality?.... well ok... that is your right ofcourse.... but I'll beg to differ (and why US teams would then pick up Euro players, is then an even greater mystery to me).

BTW - I don't think you suck..... I just think you are in severe need of a hug

Nick, I accept your apology, although after your latest ramblings I am almost inclined to ask for another one.

now to address your points - 'ring ring' - "hello?" - "hey pot, this is kettle, you're black!!"

Best to end this before it gets any more ridiculous, although after your last post I think we may have reached critical mass on that score.

No sarcasm whatsoever. I was honestly amused. Either I was completely unable to make myself clear or you were completely unable to address a straightforward issue. Either way it doesn't really matter--I just found it funny.

You were right about that. :)

1. The rest of your post kinda suggests that the rule does not apply to me??

2. Or - am I entitled to say where an anonymous poster works - when I think it has relevance to the content of his post??

Nick
Let's not play little logical games when the actually meaning of my words was pretty clear, Lord Broccolidwarf.

A. Poster anonymity is sacrosanct.

B. They/you can post what they/you want with tha small caveat that what they/you say should not undermine that anonymity.

So in answer to question 1, yes it does and the answer to question 2 is, as I said earlier, no you don't.

Clear enough?

Ok - apparently that is a new rule then.

Nobody has ever mentioned to me that anonymisty was sacrosanct, nor is such a rule to be found anywhere on this website.... so you coming on here and saying it, like I'm an idiot for not knowing it, is a bit over the top m8.

Especially as one very prominent PGI employee has often "outed" anonymous posters - and actually even did it to "missy Q" a little over a month ago... and nobody seemed to take notice.

Anyway... the rule is noted, and I'll imake my own anonymous profile shortly - now that I can post whatever I want, without being outed :D

No, it's not new Nicolai, it has been mentioned countless times before on various threads, some of which you have been involved in. And I didn't treat you like an idiot at all - more like a very naughty boy who needed scolding.

That prominent employee is as prone as you are to making a faux pas. :p That does not make him right either. The fact that he 'did it' to Missy Q had also conjured a deeply unpleasant mental image. I feel unclean.

No, I did not say whatever you want, I said that WE decide what is and isn't acceptable. I look forward to seeing Bik Nockdorff joing tha forums shortly...
