No matter how you put it, the NFL Europe is more of a real pro league than anything we've had in paintball ever... At least those guys get payed.
And to answer TJ's question: Yes, I've seen players start out on team A, play for team B a few weeks later, play as a ringer in a local league, and end up for playing for team A again during the finals...
Look, I'm not saying it's ethically correct, I'm just saying that the rules allow it, and Dynasty would be crazy to let a chance like this slip. I would have no problems with the NPPL if they decide to restrict player movement during the season, not at all, in fact I would think it would be cool if they did it in other sports too. All I'm saying is that it doesn't give the league any less credibility of they don't, it's not that big a deal.

Local League doesn't cut it - these are, too all intents and purposes, tha same league, as ranking points for Malaga count just as much as for Vegas.
So my question stands.
I just can't understand why the NPPL/Millennium are so far behind...
Why don't they set up a roster system (gripes, even our domestic PA league has one) so that teams can only play for their own team with a transfer and new player registration system in place?
Seems like every time there is an event the actual players within teams are totally different. The only thing that stays the same is the team name.

Okay, so how's this then? I know a certain defensive tackle that played a few years ago, the guy's name is something something Berger, who has switched teams no less then 3 times during a season, playing for one team twice. Stuff like that really does happen. I'll look up the full story on him, and post it up.
Anyway, why are we trying to be the sport with the most integrity? There is no integrity in top level sports. ****, even the Olympics allow pros to compete (who then proceed to make a complete ass out of themselves).
Anyway, all this is besides the point. It is as it stands now, completly legal for Dynasty to do this. Entourage will not be the first team to "aquire" players for the last event of the season, and they certainly won't be the last. Is this much different from the Ducklings fielding a team with a roster that was for 50% made up of Strange players last year in Amsterdam? Maybe it is, and I'm just overlooking it, but I don't see it. I heard nobody go boo back then. The only difference I see is that this time there's a little more at stake, but the rules remain the same. Why would they have to be chivalrous and gentlemanly when nobody else is? Morality sucks guys, it seems the Dynakids have figured this out and will be laughing all the way to the bank next year. And if they can get away with it, without breaking the rules other than perhaps a few ethics, I see no harm. It really does not devalue the league at all.
If however the NPPL wants to ensure a level playing field next year, they may well impose restrictions on player movement during the season (again, I would have zero problems with that), but they should also impose something like (dare I say it?) a salary cap. Otherwise you can just kiss that level playing field goodbye, because all the top players would get bought up by a select few teams, making for a league with perhaps 4 good teams, and 14 teams that would function as fluff to flesh out the league...
I hear ya big guy, and I ain't ragging Dynasty, I'm ragging tha NPPL...if you are gonna create something of value - i.e., the Top 18 spots for next year - you gotta protect em.
What's to stop, say, Bad Company hiring 8 Rusian Legion killas for tha last two events and racking up 80 points to qualify?

I guess ain't nothing gonna get done about it now, but I think I'd be major pissed if my team finished one place outta tha cut and Entourage had taken my place by virtue of fielding Dynasty top 7 ballas at Malaga and SD...
And to be fair to tha Dux, I think that team registered as ugly Dux II and those points in no way helped the Dux into tha EXL cut, so it is a lil different.
