Team Training..

I was just wondering what training most teams do.. Do you train at all?

I assume that different training methods exist through out the different levels of teams..Pro, Am, and Novice.

When/If you do train how often do you do it and what does your average training day consist of.

Apoc have a rigerous training regieme, this includes:

Pint drinking competition - who can drink the most pints before collapsing into a coma

Fatty food competition - who can eat the most burgers before puking on the comatose bodies of the drinking competitors

Lazy ******* competition - who will be the last to cede before getting of their lazy arses and buying a round (this is currently held by me)

The rest is a closely guarded secret.

Hmmmmmmm

There is (to my knowledge) only one team who train properly, the rest of us just piss about 'thinking' we do, and that includes all the top yank teams !!!!!!!!!

Probably true..

We are a Novice team, planning on playing all of the 2k2 series, which means a tournament a month. What would you reccomend we do between events to improve the team?

We have just had a few new players join the team who are new to the tournament world, do you think it would be better to try to play more events to get them some tourney experience, or maybe have a few more private practices to get them used to the team.

Opinions anyone??

At your stage of the game it is undoubtedly better to get as much tourney experience as you possibly can, once you have grasped the basics you are then better placed to devise your training regimes to accommodate what you think you need to concentrate on.
Just my opinion u understand !!!

A very simple statement, but probably one of the galaxy's greatest truths!
You can only discover your weak points by getting hammered by other teams (you learn more from a game lost, than from a game won....), once you know the weaknesses, the next step is to devise ways to improve on them.
Sit down after each game and discuss the things that went wrong. Be blatantly honest, even about your own foul ups. It's not about namecalling or fingerpointing. Be open to criticism. That's about it........
