Robbo, I'm not actually talking about anything that has gone on before, I'm talking about a generalization of the rules. I'm not talking about anything that happened at a Millennium event.

Apologies if we got our wires crossed, I won't comment on the Millennium situation, as I wasn't there to see it happen.

I just see teams getting away with cheating, and I don't like it.

The point I was trying to make, was that if a team suffers, then they will do something about the guilty player. If the team doesn't suffer, there is no incentive to punish the guilty.
I think we both agree that has to happen, we just want it to happen in different ways. Unfortunatly, I don't see a team ditching a good player (who also cheats) if they penalties levied against them are small.

Tony, I think then I must have misinterpreted things.
I 100% agree with a paintball team being punished for infractions committed by individuals whilst playing, including on field behaviour after the game.
I would take issue however with the notion (a flawed notion in my book) that team responsibility extends itself outside of 'playing of the game'.

It just leaves so much room for terrible injustices to occur.
I think the team in question, with regard to what happened in Germany; have dealt with this in a professional and mature fashion in not only dealing with the problem quickly but also handing out appropriate punishment in the form of a permanent banishment from the team.
All credit to them for this, whatever the Millennium board decide to do or not do, is up to them, so we shall see what further punishment, if any, is levied against the guilty parties.
All done and dusted as far as I am concerned :)
But please let's not go down the road of punishing innocent peoples for off-field behaviour !!

Robbo,
Sorry i still feel its a team thing.

All teams have subs, u ban 1 player they bring on a sub.
Great the player has suffered.

But along these lines a game could be won on 1 players cheat/foul, that game could be the most important game and could be the diffremce between winning a tourny and losing it.

A player cheats for his team, not for himself. Hence a harsh punishment.

But i do see problems enforcing any such offence.

Once a game is over and everyone sits about to talk about it, the moment has gone.

It would need a head marshall to be judge jury and executioner to make a diffrence on the day. Personally i cant see ANY marshall who would want that job.

How about we all just wrestle to decide the outcome ;)

I think we were both definatly arguing a different point!! My standpoint was for infractions ON field, OFF field is a different matter, the player should be charged, not the team in that case. I was speaking about players and teams who cheat during the course of a game.

Hope that's cleared things up a little!!!

I think I may have jumped into an argument without knowing fully the cause of the argument in the first place, therefore I respectfully apologise!

Tony.

How about the man's sport of boxing ?

Wrestling is just an excuse for fags to dress up in lycra and touch other men in hot sweaty conditions :)

Peace !

I would describe it as a means to an end, that end is of course dependant upon the person who is doing it !
For my own part, it allowed me to hit harder :)
