I also saw those two bust ups (was everyone watching these two games or were there more than just these two flare ups?) and think that some form of penalty should have been imposed.

These players most be shown that their behaviour is unacceptable.

On the subject of swearing it is not just on the field that I think the language is unacceptable, some people are incapable of stringing a whole sentance together without swearing.

So what do you do when you are really upset about something, you can't swear because you do that all the time, so to show some emotion you get aggressive!

I also have a 13 year old with me at tourny's and maybe I am a bit protective but we have often moved away from people because of the language.

Admitedly its not until you have children or your wife with you that you see it as a problem, thanks to those who have apologised for their bad language.

By the way if any of those involved in the busts ups were to apologise it would really help.

I agree, swearing and bust ups aint really the way forward.
I swear like a trooper off the field, but never on it. It just takes a little self control.
If you mess up or frustrated then swearing will only get you more frustrated. Just count to 10 and take deep breaths
Then go back, train more and work on your game. learn from your errors, dont get frustrated and just chill

This thread is entitled "Stoke MM RD 6" and was started in the hope of establishing who people thought would win divisions. I see this as friendly banter and usually a tradition in the build up of a tourney. This quickly degenerated into the usual "we are going to win" comments instead of looking at the whole tourney and predicting other divisions as well. We all know that you THINK you are going to win, otherwise whats the point of playing tourney ball??? Anyway, an argument breaks out and is resolved many pages later.

The aftermath of the tourney usually brings about thanks from teams to the organisers, and to other teams that gave them a good game. Not in this thread where it instantly changes to 2 scenes of near violence, and a focus on swearing. Anyone who has not experienced the excellent MM events will think its more like a pit fight which is definately NOT the case.

On a complete change of tack from ALMOST EVERYONE on this thread, I would like to thank all the marshals for an excellent days work. Great calls all day, keep it up. Blakey and the usual crew for setting up everything and keeping it all running well, and everyone there for making it a good tourney. The weather was great too! Hope the next leg is of the same high standard.

P.S Where has all this red font come from? I think the red font fairies have been visiting this post

Well I'll apologise for loosing it big time on field one.
I don't like or accept cheating and unfortunately, on occasion, my heart rules my head.
My main apology goes to the marshals because at the end of the day they have a difficult job to do for relatively little thanks.
