but shooting 20 balls a second would mean that 20 balls would come out of the barrel in one second. meaning that you would have shoot 1 ball at around 0.5 second intervals. if you hit 20 shoots at 300fps in one second. the spacing of the shots would be 15 feet. which is about 5 yards. if there was someway of measuring the spacing between the balls i assure you that they would not be 15 feet apart. it is impossible unless someone can prove me otherwise.

Not necessarily, you could shoot at 20 with a double tap of the trigger, and it would be 0.05 secs interval, not 0.5secs which would be 2 BPS :D

Oh, as for the distance between the balls, try

D = S / BPS

Example:

300 FPS / 16 BPS = 18.75 Feet between each ball.
270 FPS / 13 BPS = 20.77 Feet between each ball.

Hope this helps :D

Kyle,

You have to remember that the first ball has travelled for one full second. That way you can work it backwards.

(Note: this is completley ignoring friction as that just get's too damm complicated)

First ball fired at 0:00sec - at 1:00sec it's 300ft away.

In that seconds 20 balls are fired.

Therefore, it's 300ft/20 = 15ft between balls.

Now this doesn't work in reality because of air resistance. But it does kinda over the first 15ft (that's only 5m). So at the instant the second ball is fired the first ball is 15ft away.

why? well thats my point, WHY?? why would you want to? ive seen it so many times, in the range, and in the neutral zones people firing at rates that may be close, or dare i say over. but as soon as you put them on the fired the rate of fire is nearer 8-10 bps. because there is rarely any need to fire that fast in a game.

So please can anyone tell me, other that to try and boast the fastest marker, why would anyone want to shoot more than 10-15 (if that) balls a second?
Dude, r u really a paintballer? Sounds like u just don't understand.
You must lots of shiney bits, & chuck loads of paint. Then u r a baller
:D

You guys agree?
