OTE used to sell paint at Planet prices for everyone....walk-ons or rental....so it was about £28 per 2000, thats about 1.5p per ball

Thanks for all of the input folks, especially the triple wammy ;) :D lol

My reason for asking is basically as I have read Robbo's article about paint prices being a serious blocker as to why paintball isnt as widely available as it could be here in the UK. Profit generally ends with the site owners. Our mission statement at the CPC is to try to lead by example and sell everything as cheap as we can. Its nice to hear of other sites with the same mentality and I was just curious to see how many sites are trying to make a difference.

Whats everyones opinions on this? Do you believe what these sites are doing is right? What are the next steps to bring prices lower and allow a larger demographic the opportunity to play?

Thanks for your time.

Not this same old question again. The number of times I have seen this come up.

I own a site, im not going to name the site as im talking as a baller here. and the people who do know me please keep my site confidential.

Yes customer prices for paint is expensive. I charge £5 per 100. and cheaper the more you buy. But the thing is they dont make as much profit as most people think. Im not going into the who's what and why's but it all adds up.

But look at it this way, you lot spend how much on guns etc! over the years i have spent a small fortune. Most people unless they get hooked only want to play maybe once or twice a year. Are they going to spend the amount we do on kit just to go once or twice?????.

That and you ballers moan about paint prices I pay £20 a box when I go training (i dont have supair yet as im in the process of putting up the netting etc) so I travel to a local place to play. £5 entrance and £20 for a box of paint can you complain? not really.

To sum up yes it is expensive but take out all the overheads, and the fact that they wont want to spend enough to start a small war it isnt that bad for a bit of a chuckle which is what most customers are after.
