thank you!

The "long bike lock" idea sounds good, cause you can lock your marker(s) together and even thread it through your kit bag.

But what about all your Loose gear. Barrells, spares etc?

You are going to have to lock everything up in your kit bag, then thread your marker to that, and lock it all to the table.(or nearest back player!)

Its a lot of hassle, but worth it in the end.

And this is taking for granted that the players area itself is "safe", and no non-players are allowed in.

This dosnt add any cost to your game fee, and the bike lock/padlocks are only a couple of quid.

My 2p worth.

Ok guys wen't down my local B & Q (ooh shiney tools)

Just bought a retractable cable lock with rubber coated cable and a combination lock for just over a fiver. This takes up no room will fit through all the guards of my teams gats and have enough left to fit round something immovable as well. I agree it won't stop loaders barrels and possibly pre sets from being robbed but someone is going to have to take time to remove these items- and even if they did - i'd still rather lose a barrel or a hopper than my whole gun.

Anyone who fancys having a look at what i got pop over an see us (quake) at the next D7

bike locks

hey guys sorry to be the bearer of bad news but i know for a fack you can open a 4 number bike lock in under 10mins (i have a mate who can do it in 7) -not that i know dodgy poeple - but i kno cyclists n a mate of mine forgot his code so had o work his way through the possible combinations 0001 - 0002 an so on

- he found it rather amusing how easy it was to do and that nobody tried to stop him wen this happened in the middle of a town centre n he stood by his bike for twenty minutes - since then he played around with this idea n can do it well quick - i used to use a combination style lock till he unlocked it one day while i was getting a sandwich  now i use a Dlock thing at least no1 can guess my key

i'm liking the padlock idea. What happens though if someone who's marker is in the middle needs theirs? Maybe the event organisers attatching metal hook/loop things to the table, whether it be 2/3/4 etc at a minimal cost. And then A.B's method can be used. So a smaller number of markers/kitbags can be connected to one loop therefore if someone DID manage to get through all the security proposed, there would be a further smaller chance of getting away with a load of markers. Also improves the accessibility for other players

Now your thinking, why not just have an extra player & rotate one player each game? That way cost becomes less & someone's always available to watch your kit.;) Everyone gets to play most games your kit is safe & it cost you less money to play ;) :D :D

Wow - yet another 2-year-old thread ressurected. You must be really bored .

Simple answer (as it's alive again) is "it's your gear - you watch it (or get someone you trust to)!".

There - next 2-year-old one please...
