It may surprise you to know that there will be new checks in place at the Denver NPPL event for gun cheats.
Word is they intend to monitor the ROF of players (lets take LaSoya as an example), and lets say he shoots 25bps. The gun will be put over the chrono after the game, and then the player will be asked to replicate the fire rate within 3bps. if the player is unable to do so there is a penalty assessed.
This does not seem to be a particularly scientific control mechanism, but I do believe it is going to happen. So if you are on one of the many teams who fully intend to cheat yourselves through the Denver event, please be warned. If you don't think its a technical enough test that won't stop the refs from being able to penalise you if it is blatantly obvious your gun is illegal.
How do I know this?
Thats not important. But if you don't believe it, and you intend to ramp it up anyway, book your flight home for Friday.
