I like how you thinkBecause first of all, value for money.. Imo this would be the lowest acceptable mark. 5 games in the prelims and a race to seven in 15 minutes. (I think the psp lowered it this year, am I right?).
As of now , if one team drops, the other teams get 2 games. We drove over 2000 km to toulouse to play two games and then go home. (thx hurricanes)
Id rather have a event like belgium (site-wise) than paris, if i get to play alot. Cut the glamour (wouldnt take very long).
I was at WC last year, and I didnt find it very fancy. Just alot of fields and vendors. Sure, the nxl fields grandstand was cool. But then again, everyone has to pay extra to go there.
The current format is just a half-assed, money-and-time-saving, not-worthy-to-be-called-xball, bad excuse to charge twice as much.
thats true. The current format is just a half-assed, money-and-time-saving, not-worthy-to-be-called-xball, bad excuse to charge twice as much.
I think AXBL and CXBL are still running full time X-Ball matches:In response to Cookie's full on xball by my reckoning nobody has that anymore
In response to Cookie's full on xball by my reckoning nobody has that anymore but for what it's worth here are some numbers.
NXL plays 5 prelims, race to 9 in two 20 minute halves. Teams moving on play minimum of 2 and maximum of 3 additional matches.
D1 plays 4 prelims, race to 7 in a 15 minute match and a non-running clock. Given limited participation D1 usually plays out in max of 6 matches.
D2 plays 4 prelims, race to 7 in a 15 minute match and non-running clock. Given typical number of teams participating in the bracket maximum number of matches is 10.
D3 plays 4 prelims, race to 5 in a 15 minute match and non-runing clock. Depending on number of teams participating max matches can go as high as 12.
The only locked division is the NXL.
