If something you say offends people you don't know purely on the grounds of colour....... then it's racist. I'm not bothered about the origins of a word....... it's the intent. When I say black, I mean the colour it's an adjective nothing more , I know people that can make it into an insult. Ali G's content was considered racist at first........ but he's not, people missed the point and made a racist assumption themselves...... he's wearing fubu and he's a gangsta...... therefore, he's pretending to be black.
And what the hell are all of us white boys doing discussing this anyway? that's the problem...... middle aged white men deciding what's racist and just fuelling the biggots with "political correctness gone mad".

I think we are demonstarting that we are open to any member of any Race...becuse we are showing our dislike to racist references...but at the same time...regognising where people can go wrong and take things too far.to some extent Patronising people by making unwaranted decisions on their behalf..like my coffee coment, The Robertsons Golly etc...it's the same as people trying to assist someone in a wheelchair at any oppertunity...they dont want it!! OK, sometimes they might need a bit of a hand, but generally speaking, they are very capable of doing most things....too much "Kid Gloves" is a bad thing and makes people feel that they are different, when that is the exact opposite of what they are trying to achieve...

Which is not fuelling the biggots with "Political corectness gone mad" because that is the point...too much PC is bad for everyone, including the people it's designed to assist!!

Why can't "us white boys" discuss this?

Problem is, I don't think there's a question of anyone not being welcome in paintball.........so what are we discussing, just sounds like the usual chat of people trying to convince the world that they aren't racist. This started as a misunderstanding of Joe-Bob's post, then a single ill advised post which was leapt on by almost everyone. So the thing is......... if anyone does post racist crap I'm pretty sure it will be flattened the way the last one was. (even thought the post in question may not have been intentional). It was deemed offensive, it was torn apart. If the rest of the world was as well run, the place would be a whole lot more pleasant.
