It was right to help out a victim.
It is wrong to permit future victims. Even if it creates a "scene". Who cares if a jerk like that gets embarassed? You think you'll be embarassed by standing up to an idiot like that one?
Or maybe it was just a matter of his size... I weigh 140lbs. I am a small business owner. I serve food in a college town pub crawl. I don't let anyone, drunk or not, tell me the rules at my place of business just because they are bigger than me. MOST of my customers are bigger than me. I have been hit exactly once in seven years of this business. The crowd put that guy in the hospital, because my cause was just. I don't have bouncers, I don't need bouncers, because I always seek to do the right thing.
