need to get hold of Tank for an exit
Thinking about it, what suprised me was the trigger shape. I'm a little suprised that it's not the same shape as the E2 trigger. Unless of course the E2 trigger shape works for the cocker cause the grip frame is further forward along the body, and that shape trigger just doesn't work with the trigger placement on the ego.

Bounce can be a real problem with ANY electro, and even mechs (remember the "oh it's designed to do that, so it's ok" RT sweetspot?).

It has to be said that most people would have stuck to what they know best. Making other people's guns (or variants there of) look better and shoot faster has been trademark of planet. Its a brave thing to go out and make a brand new marker. That said, for all it's 'totally new' press hype i am still left unconvinced. Just have a look in Flash-bugout's sig. I think that just about sums it up. The milling is dissapointing, the back looks like it carries on too far and it is undestinguishable from the majority of similar spec markers out there. I hope it shoots as well as people have said because its performance is the only thing at the moment that will set it apart from the rest.

Planet have, over the last few years made a great in road into the sexy marker market. This in my opinion is a step too far. But i havent shot one yet, so only time will prove me wrong.

What's important in a gun?
  • small
  • light
  • fast
  • reliable
If it does all that, I'm happy. Bling is nice too, but optional. Looks are very subjective -- I thought the DM4 just looked like it had been left in front of the fire too long, but other people like it. I think the EGo looks good as it is, but even if you don't, you can bet the "custom" versions will be along in about 20 minutes.

It's all to easy to point out negatives, so..

I really like the miling, the black and tan one looks awesome, often markers chopped down at the back look a lil 'off', Highlander vikings for example whereas the Ego just looks 'right'.
Being Eclipse the build quality and workmanship is going to easily be one of the best.
Excellent work Jack et all.:)

Like paul said miling looks ok,but it just seems more of the same nothing earth shattering to me.Performance? well I guess we will all have to wait and try it out for ourselves but its getting to the point were all guns in the mid price range will out shoot all the loaders around, so the only way is to try them all in this price range and then make up your mind.Christ it could take a month of Sundays to try them all out..........

:D

i like it

It looks light, what the curent lightest marker 2004 shocker ? or 2004 defunked Viking (without barrel). THe question is when does light become, cheap and tacky?

Cant see Nexus using these, considering they are Nexus, unless we get a Nexus Ego, which is likely. Should help planets sales (not that they need it) in the staunch, I hate cocker marker, as I cant see them makeing much on a shipped Alias as they would on a 100% all home grown marker.

It will also be intreting to see where this fits in, its aimed at a wider audience, but will it tempt the Angel owners, or die hard timmy fans... guess only time will tell.

Will go into planet (considering I can see the place from my house almost, bloody Trafford Center in the way) and take a peak on Monday.

WHAT!?

We are talking about an AKA Highlander Viking, right, Paul? Is this sour grapes, maybe?:)

I agree with you on the black and tan, btw.
