Oh and the overhang on the back of the gun is perfect for carrying and doesn't dig into your wrist when playing with it like some snatch grips do.
Cool cool, just guessing from the look of it that on a wet day with slippy gloves it could be a mare. I'd prefer something more like the cyborg I think, with that little notch for your finger to rest against.

Oh really, do you think ?

I'd say bouncing is a rather large topic within the paintball world right now and has impact on every tournament player, so if Planet are doing something TO HELP YOU OUT and get on the field without some bouncy fingered chrono dork not letting you on I'd say let Planet have their glory, at least they're trying to fix these issues.

I'd be interested to hear your views once you've shot one of these uzi's, or rather been shot by one.

Price I think is very good, particularly for the performance you're going to get, sounds like you guys want the performance of an F1 car for the price of a Fiesta.

I havent used one of these Uzis (im sure I will soon) but I have managed to make my own control board using simple embedded software electronics principles and I can tell you this:
"Making a gun not bounce is very very VERY easy"
So why keep on about it?

PS Dont knock Fiestas

Gets a thumbs up here ( like Eclipse care what i think lol)

Lines look very clean - should wipe off with no problems after a game, also looks very very light. Does have some similarities to the pimp kit but i think that is more down to the anno jobs looking similar- i'm sure in the flesh?? they look completely different. Would of thought a snatch grip of more conventional design would of been used but i can see how all the PBN kiddies would be screaming that it was an alias with an e-blade and it looks like they have developed a clamping feedneck similar to a ccm one- at last a feed neck that will work as standard. Can't wait to see one of these in action and i'm sure i won't have to wait long.

i gotta give planet respect for making a fast gun and leaving cockers - cause they suck! i hope all eclipse teams shoot these, even if it is a magnetic trigger because brit ball will get loads better. and before you say anything. shut up skeetmaster.

sam

oh and if nexus use these, use halos

I had a blast with the Ego last weekend and i was REALLY impressed. It is really light, you'd be surprised and the shape means that it is really comfy to carry. The double gripping feed neck is super sweet and won't be letting go of your Halo (you'll need one) any time soon. The E2 generation interface is great, nice and easy and clear to see with the bonus of the TT filtering. The trigger is also really cool, i wasn't much of a fan of any of the previous Eblade triggers but this one feels right to me.

Those complaining about the price... I don't think you quite realise the value for money you're getting here. Essentially it is direct competion for the Alias timmy but it offers a lot more. It doesn't feels as cheap as timmys do, it is light but it's a lot more solid than any timmy. The software is leaps and bounds ahead of the Alias where bounce can be a real problem. It is just as fast and i'd probably have to say it is more acurate during fast strings. It's gonna come in much cooler colours. You get the Planet on/off purge included. You are buying British and are getting planet's awesome tech support.

Alias Intimidator: £950
Planet Eclipse Ego: £799.99

A no brainer i think.

I like it. If it shoots as well as I expect it does, I'll be getting myself one. But I'm still a little disappointed, after (yet again) being promised a revolution...

"Where was my earth-shattering kaboom???"

I had been looking at timmys and cyborgs for my next gun, but there are reasons for me to avoid both. Looks like I might have a solution now though :)

Fair enough, not by Planet themselves, but by a few people who are in the loop and have actually seen these things:

Reading all these posts is funny sh1t when you know exactly what's going on, ho ho ho.

I'll tell you something, once again, Dr Woods and Co at Planet Eclipse are bringing out a product that is going to TOTALLY rock the world of Paintball.

You will never look at your markers in the same way again, I promise you, you will be amazed when you see the EGO.

so for now, keep guessing !!!

It may be a revolution for Planet, what it being their own marker instead of their usual stock in trade of custom versions of existing guns, but it is not going to "rock the world of Paintball."

P.S. Is this gun covered by (or is it the reason for) the SP "agreement"?
