Your replies are duly noted, perhaps I should clarify that I was trying to use the mag to find out what was going on in the UK, trying to find a tourney/team etc., by no means an expert in this field.

The articles on tactics and equipment i find are very good in general and well worth the read but as a pauper never going to buy a top stream marker a little lost on me.

Not dissing you mag but I have got nearly all my knowledge from this fourum (Not all of it may be correct).

Keep up your good works
Daz, I am glad you 'duly note' our replies but with respect, the gun reviews in PGI cover the entire range of markers available to all players.
From a beginner's Spyder package to a 'top of the pile' Autococker, we have reviews on them all.
The problem with your post was that you said, you 'found nothing pertinent' to you and as such, we took you on your word and in this case, it is obvious you did not mean it.
PGI is for all players at all levels of the game but if all you want is a calendar of events then I would suuggest you get in touch with Steve Bull for a listing.
Other than that, we can do no more !!!!

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm........

Interesting discussion, do the publishers of PGI not see an opertunity of doing a second publication for the uk only? not that I have any probs with the current one, it rocks. It just seems like there might be a market for it.

TBH, I would like to see a UK only mag. Whether this maybe feasible or not I dont know. But I would subscribe to say PGUK over PGI, tho i'd probably do both.

Its for purely selfish reasons, I rather read about whether say Corrosion had won the Northern Cup (or whatever its called), than whether Dynasty had won the Chicago Open. Perhaps i'm xenophobic who knows?

rancid

Mother, is that you?
ascutt - pgi moved into the us market cos of opportunity and necessity.

If it hadn't opened the doors the mag would have finished four years ago - let me tell you mate, it was scheduled to close. Do you remember Paintball Monthly? or Paintball Adventures? Whilst pgi was expanding its market (in all countries) PM & PA stuck to covering the UK scene. The result? They both went under and pgi & p8 has a global community that is unrivalled.

There's no opportunity here mate, it's a shame, and it doesn't mean that this will always be the case, but for the moment pg needs its i.

cjohns - brilliant.

Ascutt,
I hardly think the rantings of a few people constitute a need for a UK magazine, however the UKPSF does have a monthly magazine of sorts and it sounds as though this could be exactly what some of you want.
Get in touch with Steve Bull, join up and Hey Presto !, you can read everytihng and everthing there is to read concerning the UK scene.
But bringing out a UK supplement as an economic excercise would be an unmitigated disaster.
After all, what advertiser (And here we are obviously only talking UK companies) would want to commit their monies to a publication attracting at most 300 readers.
And if you doubt that number, then be reassured, it is not too far off the mark believe me !!!
