i heard it was sumit like the second fastest growing extreme sport?
not alot of people would class it as 'extreme' though ... odd i know but partly because 'extreme sports' do not gain as much financial support (in most cases) than offical 'sports'. Plus most extreme sports involve transport (think about it)

but to show its popularity boost extreme sports plan on televising the PA league next year. So i suppose it is gaining some how

as for the average joe blogs playing paintball this year is worse in the rec ball ranks as last year (from what i've heard so dont go off on one if it hasnt) so im guessing the huge investment on advertisement is to gain new customers for next year to compensate for their losses in 06.

I work at a site and we just keep getting more and more people playing every week and they have been looking at our training center (sup-air) and they are even trying that so i hope that will get more people into the tourny seen.:D
Good to hear my man

i was speaking on 'whole' sense from the larger more 'corporate' sites that arent earning as much as last year

partly because they are sh*t in comparison to guys like yourself and of course alot of others i know

Eh??

i think quite a lot of people are put off by the 2% death risk in paintballing...lol.

2% death Risk????? are you saying that 2% of all people that play paintball die? The site i work at regularly has 300 plus customers a weekend and we havent managed to kill any just yet, are we letting the side down?

There has been no significant growth in UK ball in either tournaments or the rental side of the paintball business.
In fact, there has been a slight decline in rental revenues this year which doesn't bode well for the future.
A lot of businesses rely on intelligent marketing to promote and increase their revenues..... and there you have it, we fall at the first hurdle..

Looking at our demographic of site owners and the way most of them do business, if brains were gunpowder, they wouldn't have enough to blow their hats off...
