Paintballing popularity

There has been no significant growth in UK ball in either tournaments or the rental side of the paintball business.
In fact, there has been a slight decline in rental revenues this year which doesn't bode well for the future.
A lot of businesses rely on intelligent marketing to promote and increase their revenues..... and there you have it, we fall at the first hurdle..

Looking at our demographic of site owners and the way most of them do business, if brains were gunpowder, they wouldn't have enough to blow their hats off...
Word.

Given the fact that people are more and more spoilt for choices when it comes to spending their leisure money, they are more than likely to hand over their cash to whomever promotes his product the best. Traditionally this has not been the local paintball site, who mostly still operate on a "if you build it, they will come" philosophy. The only sites that I know to have any real success, are the ones that operate on a "if you built it and make sure the whole damn world knows you built it and how cool it really is, they will come" philosophy.

Location, Location.
Definition of 'extreme' in regards to sport:

extremely dangerous or difficult i.e. extreme skiing.

Paintball is neither difficult - nor dangerous. Its fun. Mostly.

Not this discussion again...

Paintball is not, nor will it ever be a real extreme sport.

Face it, the only reason why some people consider paintball an extreme sport is because it is not mainstream accepted. Anybody that tells you it hurts, is dangerous or whatever, is a complete pussy.

The way most people go about it, paintball is hardly a sport anyway...

i think quite a lot of people are put off by the 2% death risk in paintballing...lol.

2% death Risk????? are you saying that 2% of all people that play paintball die? The site i work at regularly has 300 plus customers a weekend and we havent managed to kill any just yet, are we letting the side down?
thats what it says. Its probably people getting gunned down by the police when they attack people on the street with markers, and people oiling their tank reg,and it blowing up in their faces. But yer i HIGHLY doubt its that high.
