damn, i missed newsnight, anything interesting raised?
Aside from the terrorist/paintball thing there was quite a worrying piece on chip and pin fraud, turns out it's not quite as secure as we're led to believe and the banks / credit card companies are withholding info on how bad the problem really is.

all i'm going to say is unreal domination 24th feb - those who were there will know!
I know what you're saying there Stoke but did you talk to any of that group? i did and they were some of the most pleasant people i've met, also on the way out i was getting the gear loaded up and every car that went past with them in slowed down so that they could say goodbye and well played etc, it really surprised me, i don't mind being honest with yer.

Thing is, you read such stories in the press etc and you can't help but think the worst when you encounter such a group, wrongly or rightly i don't know but it seems a few bad apples may spoil the whole basket so to speak.

For the benefit of anyone not there, the "group" in question comprised of about 40+ young asian people.

chip n pin is silly . it seems just as easy to clone cards now as ever :(
That because the banks could not be arsed to spend the money on the more secure system and opted for the cheap, looks very good but does f*ck all for your security, system. Why spend our profits on a secure system when they can't look after their cards.

So did no one tell them that It was a waste of time, and that inner-city London wasn't that similar to a Berkshire forest ,capture the flag against a chartered accountant whist strategicly avoiding an angry badger isn't going to prepare you for coming up against Yardie gangs far better armed than you are whilst you stick out like Crack tree, dressed in your woodland DPM.

I swear that one of the above lads that I walked past was 'ticking' and wearing a funny white belt, sure it was made out of plastic aswell?!?! wierd eh?

Must have been my imagination, but I didnt see him again after the 'pyro's' in the last game:p:D;).

Aside from him, the rest seemed more than willing to offer themselves up as human shields in the last 'push' game. They did such a good job we managed to clear the field in less than 17 mins:)

Edit: On a serious note, the news (as I read it) about paintball/terrorism etc seemed to simply say that the guy recruiting his new disciples simply used paintball amongst other group activities as a method of getting potential recruits together in a 'teambuiliding' kind of atmosphere in order that he could start the process of 'grooming' them. I dont think it was actually used as any form of initial training, more for recruitment and bonding etc.
I dont actually think that they 'practised' playing terrorists or whatever when they went ballin'.

could always have been an innocent days paintballing
just so happens that these guys are known terrorists
i'm sure the boys had a wonderful day
Unless they went to a Delta Force site, in which case they'd feel ripped off, cold, wet and thoroughly unhappy with the fact that the rental markers shoot about 10 feet. :D
