living in Northern Ireland it really makes little difference to me!! If i want to play, myself and my team have to book flights and arrange seperate transport for our guns. and then accomodation, then the same thing in reverse. at great expense.

If any of you think you will get all the different event promoters to join hands and sing "All you need is love", you need to tell me where you buy your dope, because I want some of that stuff.

It's all about the Benjamins kids, even at lower levels. Any promoter that tells you he/she does it purely for the love of the game is talking ****.

But, it's fun to hypothesize.

This national league should not change the overall cost to the player, just increase the profile of paintball, and move it closer to being a recognised sport. Do you have the amount of teams or players in Ireland to make your own league.

There was an attempt to do this sort of thing with the UKPL.

But it ended up being cancelled because of lack of interest.

To me it is pontless trying to combat the apathy of paintballers.
Instead we should all kneel and worship it like a god, for it is indeed the most powerful force in UK paintball!!!

Nail on head, quite right, but it's time to sort this out.

The venues won't loose out on commitment to there days, if anything it should improve the level of commitment to the event, if the league matches were played at a venue over the day.

Tom in Ireland there are very few teams probably no more than 4 or five. and Northern Ireland is part of the uk so we would "qualify" perspective......

i personally think only good things can come from this idea, i posted a thread recently on "rules about gats in safe areas" and questions were asked abut governing bodies who rule the game, to which there isnt, if there was, gun safety and sitte safety would dramatically improve, coz the organisation could implement certain "must haves" at tourneys, to make the site eligable to play within the group, bit like premier football although i hate that sport but you know what i mean deffo would raise the profile of the game methinks !

The UKPSF is the governing body and sites that have affiliated have to meet certain criteria and so if you have any safety issues I would direct them to A) the site owner and tournament organiser and B) Steve Bull at the UKPSF.

Rules, there will be only two rule books in 2005 with the SWPL, Series, UK masters and MPANL running the P.A. rule book and I think the D7's on the millennium rule book... give it another year and maybe they will harmonise as well.

Yes the UKPL flopped but that was a mix of apathy and congested calendars I believe.

I think if all of the existing tournament just got Steve to collate the higest scores then I am sure that a national championships could be arranged maybe at the National paintball centre.

Not quite sure how this would sit in principle with the fact that the MPANL is the national league... could be billed as a conference final or something.
