There are some things though that apply to more than just paintball that are 'ignored'.

Like people decanting gases between bottles. Something you shouldn't do without being qualified.

Irrelevant of that though we don't self regulate ourselves in terms of anything other than the government dictates to us anyway.

We test bottles, because it is legislation. Yet we do not test regulators, barrel bags etc.

If we don't self regulate anything other than the ones with legal implications you can never expect to be taken seriously as an organised sport.

Yes by decanting I mean bulk filling from Scuba tanks and/or co2 bottles.

With regards to regulators. You have just made my point. No one in the world regulates the working capacity of regs, therefore we don't. This is the point, if there is not legislation regarding certain things we don't self regulate it, rather ignore it.

Same goes with the types of fittings and hose you use on a marker. You can use whatever you like, yet some may not be rated anywhere near what they need to be? I think you get my point :)
