Paintball game for Xbox

I would be very suprised if this game is any good.
Judging by the previous paintball offerings.

For a game to warrant several thousand man hours of programing it would require a market as big as say Half Life or Colin McRae rally etc.

People are imagining it to be the same quality as top PC games out at the moment, but that isn't gonna happen, games like that cost millions.

My guess is graphics will be nice, but corners will be cut in the code development and gameplay and lastability will suffer.

Sure if you are in it you are gonna buy it, thats probably why theres 70 teams worth of players featured, thats a few sales guaranteed!

has anyone not had the thought that they are launching on Xbox first so they can get a feel for any improvements that have to be made???

its been doen before with games like MOH, stick it out on the console first get some feedback on it, launch on the pc at a later time which is far better

I think this will take off, espescially if its on Xbox live !!!

I was more thinking along the lines of Champ manager which, under no way shape or form is a graphical monster. However it is one of the most highly addictive and playable games I've ever loaded onto my PC.

Who knows till we see it running. But like Merkin, i belive that anything of that standard is far far better suited to that of a PC over an X-box.

i certainly wouldnt buy this:

i cant see how you can possibly play a proper paintball game with a controller, you have to dive, knee slide, snap shoot etc etc, there cant possibly be a way of doing it all without pressing 5 buttons to do it

there's nuff buttons on an x-box controller to have all these functions you mention doing them. one for each

i would buy it just to see what its like....

its about time someone got down to it and made a decent one of these games, if not someone may pick up on a potentially large market and make a good one

heh, im safe on all consoles, i have PS2 AND XBox, shame about xbox live i have no broadband otherwise i'd be on socom online on the PS2! ahhh well! still gonna rock, hopefully it'll be tourny ball with 3rd person play!

thats a point i never saw this as 3rd person, that would be sick if it was based on something like the socom engine

but i think a 1st person view would also be required .
