The problem with the London eye venue is stray paintballs hitting that landmark. Could harm the sport rather that help it battersea or hyde park would be best.

i think hyde park would be the best place, alot of my friends and family would come to hyde park but batterseas too far, hyde park would be a good venue especially if it sunny as alot of people would go there to relax and enjoy the sun, also apart from the tournament you could get some rental markers and get an extra pitch so people could pay to play, i think alot of people would do this and itd raise money for the event and get more people into it.

I think you should also talk to red bull as they are involved in many extreme events and spots so maybe able to offer assistance in setting this up and with the association may give some right of passage or sponsorship???

I think Hyde park will be a problem for access and setting thigs up?

Battersea maybe the best option for approval for the event but the down side is no passing interest.

Just my views but defo up for it

Nice one Love Me Sexy, sounds good.

Some thoughts bashed out quickly after skimming the thread............

Hyde Park may be difficult. AFAIK it belongs to the Crown Estate and they're quite sniffy. no harm in asking though.

Plenty of parks just outside the centre that could do it. Victoria Park, Clapham Common, Brockwell Park, Battersea, Southwark Park, etc. etc. All in boroughs that may be a quite open to a bit of park rental.

The area next to London Eye is quite small but may be good for a couple of fields and some trade stands.

I guess if it's a showcase event, you want it near the middle of town, but take into account all of the above parks are considered central London by those of us who live here. Clapham has had some Extreme Sports events before. Victoria Park has all sorts of music stuff all year.

Battersea is actually quite awkward to get to. You want to be on the Central or Northern Line for maximum ease of access.

Parking is a little bit tricky, I have never seen an event of any description that included parking in central London, just not practical. Events use all of the space they are allocated for the event, not punters cars. I'm guessing this will be a weekend event so not so much of a problem. Also no congestion charge at the weekend.

Saturday parking restrictions are relaxed a bit, some multi stories are cheaper. Sunday, restrictions relaxed more, (apart from near markets etc.) more free spaces.

Public transport is very good, generally, park further out of town and use that.

I wouldn't even worry about the police, as long as you aren't waving your gun about they won't care.

If your looking to contact Red bull, i know there UK office is on Tooley street. Just down the road from London Bridge station.

I worked at Tower paintball in London for some time, and i would say maybe have a look at the park next to city hall. Its on the river, near a few tourist attraction and some major stations!
