Paintball attack in Reading shops

I was going on the 50fps premise but I agree that higher could be worse.
Although the Government don't class anything below 320fps as a firearm as they deem it unable to kill someone with ease.

And unless you know, medically, the tolernaces of your eye and socket you are ignorant to say that a paintball would shatter your eye socket.
I only said I doubt a 50FPS paintball could do that damage, you attempted to state a fact.

Was not having a go matey just making A point!

Each person has different strength / thickness bones (in the whole body)
The wall of an eye socket can vary in thickness between 1mm - 4mm and of varying strength. If you were in the lower end of the scale on both counts then I would not bet against the socket fracturing / shattering at point blank range

I think we can all agree at point blank into the eye it will get very very messy and is ideally something I do not want to discuss in this article.

Where do people think the best resource for a noob to go if they want to get into paintball, I was thinking about putting a link to either this forum, pgi home or ukpsf.

AS obviously this article is going to be about getting into paintball and why its all worth while so will be providing information for the general public. Am thinking about mentioning that 11 year old who was in pgi this month, that article was classic!

Only 400 words tho and a photo! Will find a nice sup'air one to chuck in of myself or a team mate.

Er, yes it can. If a paintball hits you in the eye it can possibly kill you, no matter if it comes from an argos gun which fires them at 50fps (im guessing) or a tourney gat travelling at 300fps.

A standard paintball, can kill you. Its as simple as that.
Im not denying it is dangerous and im not condoning what they have done but i cant see how it would kill you unless you crank up the velocity?

If a bus hits you at 30mph your more likely to survive then at 100mph. I totally get your point and see what your saying about the potential.:)

Try and make it attractive for people that have not played before. Maybe if paintball had the following that it does in the US, we would get some huge paintball parks like they have!:)

A link to this forum would be good. Perhaps to a new thread in the newbie section called 'evening post referal'?

So if the paintball stayed intact on impact how would it leave paint residue?

...and do we shoot bullets now?

What a crock of sh!t

was thinking that, myself... load of Bollox. Im not approving of the insident, but thats Waay outta proportion(sp?).
yes, my favourite line too, is '“They [paintball pellets] can kill if they do not explode and it didn’t when it hit Rebecca. They’re potentially lethal at close range.”' fook! im a walking corpse!

very hyped up.

Thats so fooking silly isnt it reall..I mean, did teh author actually read what was written?

If they can kill if they do not explode, then, that is the same as saying that if a car doesnt stop on a head on collision with a human, it can kill them.

So, therfore...teh fact that it didnt "explode", is teh same as, teh car having hit teh human.

Ok..so...what we are looking its, is serious bodily damage from either or death.

A bruise...
