Whats the rules on team selection ?
could you take your current team and slap a town name on them or do they have to be from that area ?
Daniel,

We're hoping to encourage teams to call on all the players in a local area but that is not to say a team is limited by that. After all football teams aren't, but it is hoped that the core of each team will be from the town or city they are representing.

So yes you could start by re-naming an existing team but we strongly encourage team managers to look at all the available and interested teams & players in their area and not to exclude people.

Logically it won't be possible for every single person to play but the emphasis is on getting your team and your town to the top of division one and being crowned league champions. There is no reason why teams couldn't consist of two or even three complete squads adapated to suit different field arrangements. Hopefully this tourney will also encourage a supporter base as well.

We're currently taking applications from team managers so if you fancy a go or know someone who might drop us your details and we'll send you a pack.

And for just pure fanatic zeal I'd say the most outspoken lot so far are Sunderland...who are probably going to be gutted that there hasn't been an application from Newcastle as yet....the Maggies running scared?

Wolverhampton are apparently already planning their victory party after they defeat Birmingham..or so I'm led to believe...

Interestingly several applications and expressions of interest haven't just come from all tourney players either, the rec-ballers are getting in on the act....

Look forward to seeing you there :)
