Having said all the above, it was TB himself that told everyone they should explicitly ask organisers to post evidence of their PL insurance (after the Mall game and in response to Urban Paintball starting to promote), but has never done so himself. He once posted an insurance letter quote but, as I pointed out at the time, that doesn't prove anyone actually took out the policy. There has never been any cover note or certificates shown.
I always wondered why players wanted to see that when we first started. Never got anything to hide so just posted it.

It's def f'ed up my friendships I thought I had and now because of this my bf is taking the blunt of it because I'm crying all the time, negative even though I'm trying not to and think I've gone into a depressive state. So who ever it is thanks you've ruined my life for what joining a team.
What sort of friends are they anyway if they're going to fall out with you over something so petty anyway?

Sorry to say this but give yourself a break ... There's nothing to cry about!

Just keep doing what you're doing, stay out of the paintball politics and do what you want/ can do in paintball.

If you didn't do what they're blaming you for all you need to say is you didn't do it and if they don't believe you that's their problem. They'll forget all about it when they've got something else to gossip about. :)

Edit: sorry to repeat what other people were saying :s should of read the comments after your post before replying xD

After being away for only a week after Chantilly (took the missus to Disneyland) I have to read through about 10 pages more of your chatter to get to the end. took up most of my evening and lunch hour. But finally done it and have to say, some of the more recent stuff coming to light is certainly intriguing.

I know people going to the SOA game, and to be fair, the mentality of 'changing games half way through, experimenting etc, sounds interesting, (in an odd sort of way), if you knew about it upfront. But in my eyes, if I am paying £125 quid for what is essentially entry and 1000 rounds, its not my thing. I have done ltd ammo events that are byop and £15 green fee to experiment on game formats etc and that is fun. you dont feel like it is a waste of money if the games go tits up.

Anyway, it will be interesting to hear what people say about it afterwards.

My biggest concern is the H&S and liability aspect. those floors (and walls) would have been treated to avoid graffiti and be easy clean, so that means very slippery and sleek once paint is shot at, and the lack of protection onto residential homes is the biggest concern. I was always of the impression that any paintball venue had to be a certain distance away from roads/ homes unless fully encapsulated?

To Black widow, now you know who your friends really are. It sounds harsh, but rather find out now over this than be thrown under the bus later. Whats that old adum? 'Those who matter dont mind and those who mind dont matter.'

Anyway, I'm just waiting on the next piece of big news to drop from Robbo's keyboard...

I'm not so sure anything much is gonna be dropping out of my keyboard until after barnett's next event when the emails, texts and messages begin to come in ....
It's obvious he's now cutting corners and when you do that, you might get away with it for a bit but sooner or later, the sh!t hits the fan and things start to go belly up ...... when that happens, customers get pis$ed off, income drops even further, and inevitably, your luck runs out ......
Whether or not barnett is now entering this phase remains to be seen but I've little doubt that if he fuhks up again or screws some other poor basterd for thousands of pounds, we'll get told about it.

Tim De Groot!!!!!!
Fishy?

(From Wikipedia)
De Groot
Origin

It is composed of the adjective groot, from middle Dutch grote, meaning big, tall or great, preceded by the definite article de, meaning the. It was originally a nickname for a tall person.

In 2007, there were 37,221 people in the Netherlands named De Groot, making it the 13th most common surname in the country.

Or just an unlucky coincidence?

It certainly seems in keeping with the way barnett thinks of himself - he doesn't suffer from any bouts of humility hence the use of 'de grote' as part of a name he might use ... I like to think of him along more subtle lines and my use of descriptives would tend to reflect a higher degree of sophistication and more astute usage of the English language than mere crudity .... you know, something like:- He's a lying, phuk-face, gin-guzzling, drunken cowardly wannabee hard-man, sh!t-head, scum-sucking, sable-sucking, treacherous bully-boy fraudster .....

Well, I think that just about covers it but if I can think of anything else that's appropriate, I'll post it up but in the meantime I shall be in training in readiness for our inevitable 'crossing of paths' [whenever that may be, or maybe not] but don't think I'll be taking my training lightly as my gym vid will show as you'll hopefully see when I post it up in a few days or so.
