After being away for only a week after Chantilly (took the missus to Disneyland) I have to read through about 10 pages more of your chatter to get to the end. took up most of my evening and lunch hour. But finally done it and have to say, some of the more recent stuff coming to light is certainly intriguing.
I know people going to the SOA game, and to be fair, the mentality of 'changing games half way through, experimenting etc, sounds interesting, (in an odd sort of way), if you knew about it upfront. But in my eyes, if I am paying £125 quid for what is essentially entry and 1000 rounds, its not my thing. I have done ltd ammo events that are byop and £15 green fee to experiment on game formats etc and that is fun. you dont feel like it is a waste of money if the games go tits up.
Anyway, it will be interesting to hear what people say about it afterwards.
My biggest concern is the H&S and liability aspect. those floors (and walls) would have been treated to avoid graffiti and be easy clean, so that means very slippery and sleek once paint is shot at, and the lack of protection onto residential homes is the biggest concern. I was always of the impression that any paintball venue had to be a certain distance away from roads/ homes unless fully encapsulated?
To Black widow, now you know who your friends really are. It sounds harsh, but rather find out now over this than be thrown under the bus later. Whats that old adum? 'Those who matter dont mind and those who mind dont matter.'
Anyway, I'm just waiting on the next piece of big news to drop from Robbo's keyboard...
