Oooh...NPPL rankings going into San Diego...

Bob made semis at both, ironmen are a very weak team in comparison to tha Pro field and I would not have expected them to do well outside of tha NXL...have you looked at their results this season?

All a good Pro team can expect is to make Sunday - especially given how tough tha field is now.

Don't get hung up on format - good ballers are good ballers. That's why tha teams that do well in S7 are the teams that do well in Division 1. You are looking for something that, by and large, ain't there...

If the Legion did play San Diego, you'd be a fool to bet against them but then again, I'm pretty sure the Legion haven't booked in and are not going to.

although its a good idea for obvious reasons. Its a sorry state of affairs if a team has to use guests just to make sure they make the cut for next year!

Have to disagree with that James ... end of the day it is within the rules of the game (as they stand now), so it makes sense for teams to use every advantage to make the 2k5 Pro cut.

6 will get ya 4 that there are more announcements to come out of the NPPL after San Diego that will make the Pro series even more attractive than in seems now. And for teams that are going to want any sort of media attention for next year need to be there.

Which begs another question ... who else believes that we will start to see some rationalisation of sponsorship into these teams, and a lessening of the available pool for the lower divisions ... after all the NPPL Pro division is going to provide a significantly higher bang for buck in terms of brand promotion next year.

Doh!! So they are :)

Still leaves some of the pros who have played all season outed by some pros only playing this or a couple of other events don't it...

Was the cut off for teams announced prior to this?

Just wondering if the teams that have missed out realise that they have yet? Or they think they still have plenty of time to book in?

EDIT: Forget that, just read on the NPPL site about the 162 team limit.... :)

I now await pro teams paying off lower division teams to steal there spot :D
