gutted.....

I think it's a joke!!! Them saying they aren't putting prices up but improving quality, then dropping the games down to 8? It's total BS.. I think the MS needs to have a serious think about this...

I quote "In order have worldwide harmonization for the Series with other series in the world". So why are they introducing a 15Bps rule?? Is the Nppl introducing a cap aswell??

:( :( :( :( :(

I thought paintball tournaments are about playing paintball, not about eating free fruit or playing musical chairs with some lousy prizes

I think you may well have hit the nail on the head.

As I said - teams can vote with their wallets or just put up with it.

Personally I think that 5 days away, all the hotel bills, car hire, entry, food, paint etc for 8x7minute guaranteed games is getting a little thin.

Maybe teams will cut their commitment? Play at home and then test themselves once or twice abroad rather than committing to the expense of a series.

Of the teams that usually play - lets hear their thoughts on this!!!

Mark

PS the battery comment by Bolter - very droll!!
I think Marks views on this are about right, there is a very fine line between value for money and the promoter just taking the piss. If the Events are good
then 10 games is still expensive but worth making the trip abroad for. I think a lot of teams who played last year and felt they recieved poor value for money, will just not bother this year.

The teams that will vote with their feet are the ones who do not really have much chance of making Sunday club. The sort of team that goes for the experience of the big event, I cannot see them paying out that sort of money for what is in effect a 20% price increase.

The bulk of the Millennium series entry fees come from the Div2 teams and these will be the guys without the sponsorship or cash to justify this "per game" price rise.

If I were to have my cynical head on I would probably think they were making this decision to either (a) reduce the amount of fields. or (b) run the same amount of fields with more teams. Both of these would increase profits whilst reducing value for money for their customers. Harmonization my arse!

The paint distributors will not be happy about this as they pay a lot of money to be able to sell paint at these events (Teams will be shooting 20% less paint in the prelims) Also the strong possibility of less paint buying teams attending.

The Players are quite clear in their views. So why dont we have a poll? get all the players in the teams to cast a vote (not just the captains).
The Millenium board do listen, better for the players and the board to sort it out now than to spend all season whining about it.

Chuck

Ps Please no one mention the robbery that they call registration cards!
Its the only time that I watch people que up to be bent over and shafted to the tune of 30 euros (if I don't count Ant in Amsterdam)

so going over there and paying over 120 odd euros per game just to play some big name teams. oh but no hold on, most of the US teams dont wanna play MS series cos they dont get points

so i will be paying **** laods for entry n hotels n flights to play... 40 mins of paintball... oh where do i sign up.. or spend sweet FA down the local n shoot punters for hours on end.. hmmm

rec ball sounds oh so appealing now!

They obviously made it to increase participants for every tournament (now 160 teams) and therefore an easier schedule. If you argue that there is less paint consumption, it's not true if you think farther... ;)

Time saving idea..

We que up to pay backwards, then take our turn to shuffle rearwards with our money in one hand and our pants already around our ankles. This should
cut down time spent in that annoying registration que!

Mods Poll please.

WKD:

There it is...

European Player Association
Last season a few players took the initiative to start the European Player Association and although they tried, it didn't really happen. The Millennium Series feel that such an association is very important for the sport and especially to enable the Series to improve on things the players (our customers) need.

This season, the Millennium Series will take the initiative, and ask you to email us when you wish to be nominated for the European Players Association. You will be placed on a voting list and we will have a voting in April at Maxs European Masters in Bitburg. The EPA can consist of 5 players out of all disciplines within the Millennium Series. Email us at karlijn@millennium-series.com to be nominated and please make sure you do so before April 11 th . After that date, no more nominees can be added.
