Battle of Britain is at RAF Finmere and it's normal paint being used there. If a site or organiser wanted to have a 'site paint only' rule then they certainly don't need to use clear paint as the excuse. NPF is a prime example of that but no-one questions their right to make decision.
RAF Finmere according to wikipedia was closed either in 1945 or in the 1950s, there are two articles about it not sure which is correct though, so as it not an 'active' MOD site, choice of paint would appear to be irrelevant.

As for NPF and choice of paint, following very poor performance of the site paint in Januarys Diamond Wars. It has been raise and questioned as to why they use the paint they use and if an upgrade option would be a viable alternative. Personally I can't afford to spend more on my hobby as if I could I'd rather spent my money on playing more events than more expensive paint.

On the wider issues surrounding Shoreline, Support 4 Soldiers, people be banned for asking questions and personal insults.

Only played one Shoreline event, Tippmann Challenge 2011, personally I didn't enjoy it. Ok it was tarnished by one of my teammates having his marker set-up nicked 2 hours into the Sunday game and the event staff 'washing their hands of it', the response at the time was 'it'll turn up'. I was pretty critically of the event on UKS and my posts were not removed and I haven't been banned. I take my choice and use my money where I like, this one experience has put me off Shoreline events. I was actually looking at the Call to Duty games with some interest, but alas there will be no more. Most positive aspect of going to this event and the whole Super 6 series last year is that I've met guys like Tackleberry and Papabear from the Rebels and played a walk-on at predator before it's demise (and had my first supair experience cheers guys), these guys and many others have a true passion for paintball, and a mutual annoyance for all the politics that come with it, mostly I ignore it but now I feel I would like to add my own experiences from both here and UKS. It also has opened my eyes to the range of events and games that are available.

Support 4 soldiers, apparently the questions regarding this have been answered. However the engineer inside tells me not to believe the marketing claims until I can see the actual evidence that is does exactly what it says on the tin.

I've spoken to one person who was banned from UKS and was amazed that is was over a simple question that was asked about the QR codes that would be out on the field during Tippmann Challenge. I watched the responses on the UKS thread and could not believe the over-reaction.

Personal insults

The person who insulted Robbo in such a vile and disgusting manner should be totally ashamed of himself. Ok an 'apology' has been issued but if this insult had been levelled at me I wouldn't accept it either.

Gadget- the only info that was supplied about the TCUK if you weren't part of the UKS forum was dates and ticket prices it didnt even advertise paint on shorelines website at the time of ticket purchase it just said paint availability and prices were TBC, now i wasnt part of UKS forum so i didnt know when i bought my ticket, Answer me this though gadget, have the customers who are not part of the UKS forum been told about the fact that paint is pre-order only, i know the answer do you?

Even so this isnt a debate about paint. its a debate about corruption, and UK paintball as an industry is now saying your not getting away with it anymore, at the end of the day lots of shorelines ex customers are now coming out of the woodwork with they're experiences of Tim, how would you like being told if you cant afford paint then your not welcome and that he will sell your ticket for you.

He is a tool with no people skills and is in it for himself, oh and the forum is very friendly if you dont ask questions.

We are entitled to a choice i opted for a refund to TCUK due to Tim's and Al Murray's attitudes but i still have a group of friends attending TCUK that is their choice and i haven't influenced them in anyway, they even agree with me but they dont want to give up the opportunity to play at sennybridge, although after reading about the fact that Tim has advertised his event and hasn't even got a confirmed booking and the fact he has around £35,000 worth of ticket money and nothing to show for it they are seriously re-considering it.

I'd like to ask an open question here guys; has ANYBODY seen any evidence whatsoever of the monies donated for this /charity / fund or whatever barnett describes it as??? ... and the paperwork HAS to account for who donated what, how much was donated and what date into what account.
Secondly, we need to see the exact and unambiguous nature of the fund they have set up in terms of it's registration details.
As I have said before, the paperwork HAS to indicate a timeline from the beginning of the request for donations up until the present.
This timeline will not only show the whens and wheres of payments but also the chronology of events relating to how and where they registered the fund because I am damned sure you can't just go and ask for money from people and have no recognised/official account details in place.
I just cannot understand that if what barnett is saying is the truth i.e. everything is above board then why wasn't the paperwork presented as requested on multiple occasions?
This failure to present ALL the necessary information is absolutely unacceptable and as each day passes, it begins to look more and more suspicious... the people who have donated monies in deserve an immediate and unequivocal record of this fund's infrastructure and accounts.
And I was told that barnett’s website or wherever was still linking this charity/fund to the help for heroes campaign ...

If I was ever accused of something like this and I wasn’t guilty the FIRST thing I’d do is publish the paperwork straight away ... any delay is always gonna provoke suspicion and this is why barnett is in this position he now finds himself in.

To respond on the subject of accounts I spoke briefly with Tim Barnett about the accounts and he has said that they are currently with a local councillor to sort the accounts and the allocation of money raised. All accounts will be released once this has been completed and not before. Similar to businesses releasing their accounts at the end of the year.

Tim also said that you've been given the councillors contact details Robbo so you can confirm for everyone that the accounts exist. Can you confirm you've received these contact details?

Staying warm on a sunday!
I'll admit that the section in the BBC report about the use of Swynerrton not being confirmed did concern me a little, but only with regard to potentially not getting to play the venue - I've never had any doubt about the best intentions of the organisers and I'm 100% confident the event will be staged as planned.
Just thought I'd clarify Sennybridge is the unconfirmed site.
Swynerrton is where NvS is held
