matzy i totally agree with you, the mods from uks are the ones that dont, i know there are different manufacturers of clear paint probably all sh@t but there are others, here's the crunch though about UKS.

Team Tippmann UK have both Al Murray and a certain Timboy playing for them. funny that the owner of shoreline and the owner of UKS play in the same team and that Al Murray is the general for tim's spetznaz side.

no one has said UKS is owned by barnett what has been said is it might as well be, the amount of games that i see posted up there that aren't shoreline and get shunned is ridiculous, the amount of games that aren't shoreline that get slated by im a shoreline player and shoreline are the best is ridiculous.

there is no way of having a voice over there because you get shot down and then ganged up on, once you stick up for yourself you get banned.

craig mate i have respect for you and your team but come on you weren't there protecting me for asking questions and they weren't even questions about the sore subject of Barnetts piss@ng charity. i was only concerned about the game i was attending because i wanted the most out of the game like any oher customer.

tackleberry- the fact that tim holds £35,000 worth of cash and the base isn't even been agreed is downright unbelievable, it would be ok if the date had to change etc but for having hyped it up so much and not even have the venue confirmed is a joke and embarrassing, glad i got my refund.

one other thing i was looking through my emails from shoreline first they said 900 players and the recent one said 700 what is that all about, stop the smoke and mirrors about player numbers is another talking point about shoreline events and from a few banning cases from UKS that i had seen it was a lad who had been to a super 6 BIG Game with 400 players(according to Tim) and it turned out to be 200 and that kid got flamed to hell as well and then banned.

Correct!

We are now 4 years in with the army and it has never even been asked that we use clear paint. However the clean-up rules are VERY clear and strict. BTW we have been on site at Sennybridge and offered the use of it, however we felt it was neither big enough or in the right location for our game. I did not enter into detailed negotiations for the site but the general understanding was that I would have the same terms and conditions as Swynnerton.

And yes that does indeed include a clause that, in time of emergency or hightened military requirements, my booking MAY be cancelled or our area reduced if required for urgent training. However we are confirmed users with full approval to apply for the use of any training facility - our Risk Assessments, Indemnities, Insurance, various other MOD required paperwork, and Contract are in place many months before the event - we are booked and confirmed exactly as an army unit, police training unit, or any other approved organisation would be for the dates of our event. I am sure no-one would announce they have a game at an MOD venue WITHOUT this confirmation.

This seems to be turning into a bit of a witchhunt, which IMO is undeserved. The fact that clear shell paint was mandated (regardless of whether it's a MOD requirement or a choice by the promoter to ease clean up) for TC2012 was made clear well in advance of tickets going on sale, along with the fact that BZ would be the sole supplier and people were still chewing their arms off to get tickets. Certainly there are other suppliers, however having read the feedback on another brand of clear ball used at Mall Assault recently, personally I'm glad it's Sterling we'll be using - I've always had time for Powerball, going back to the days when JBB was on the tournament scene.

I've no affiliation to Shoreline, but have attended a couple of their events, along with other scenario/big games like Jim's NvS for the past couple of years and they're all great - I've not considered any a ripoff and have had fun at all of them - NvS, Tippmann Challenge, Time Wars (lets not forget Niall is part of the Super6 and he's as sound as a pound).

Fair enough if people have first-hand gripes about their experiences, but some now seem to be casting aspersions at a company based on heresay and rumour rather than concrete evidence or personal experience which I think is a real shame. I'll admit that the section in the BBC report about the use of Swynerrton not being confirmed did concern me a little, but only with regard to potentially not getting to play the venue - I've never had any doubt about the best intentions of the organisers and I'm 100% confident the event will be staged as planned.

With regard to UKS, I've only been a member there for a few years, compared to a decade here, but it's a friendly place with a focus on a different area of paintball. There have been a couple of times I've thought some mods have taken innocent comments the wrong way, however there are also some superb mods on there, just like there are on p8ntballer.

I'd really like to see the bad blood disappear, as the vast majority of us just want to get on and play without the drama.

knowing all sides of this argument,i`m getting too the point of why should i bother playing anymore. this thread is doing so much harm too paintball it is unbelievable
paintball in this country should be overseen by two people bully and ledz both of these guys have paintball in their blood but have no axe too grind.
i would love too take all parties of all the bitching to do with paintball wether it be the issuses today or of times gone by in to a room and hit them all with a bit of 3 by 2.

Biscuit, I'm afraid you don't know all sides of what's going on, you have a rough idea but not all the details, and as such you are not best placed to offer any advice to myself, least of all referencing other people on which direction to take in this matter.

As I'm sure you are aware, I am close friends with Ledz and I have been in contact with him but he knows me well enough to stand back sometimes and trust my judgement even though that might fly in the face of how he would handle things.
I will be speaking to Ledz tomorrow and I will listen to everything he has to say and I will respect 100% of anything he does say but bottom line here is, I have to be true to myself and I have to be consistent with others.
Every person on the outside of this can be objective and to a certain extent estranged from the nastiness of what's going down here.
I don't need anyone telling me what to do and if I wanna talk to Ledz or whoever then I'll do it in my own time and when I feel the need.

You are correct in saying sables is on the periphery of the initial problem and ostensibly this is correct as was exampled by sables' apology and distancing from cesspit ... the problem i have is this ... In my opinion, sables is a pathological liar just like barnett ... they churn out lie after lie to try and staunch the flow of questions firing their way and the tragic irony in all this is those pair of jokers call me a liar, I fuhkin hate that because it’s just not true ..... You describe it as witch-hunt, I would describe is as a quest for the truth .. to call it a witch-hunt is an insult to all the people who have donated money to barnett and have no way of seeing where it's all gone ... the protracted period of non-disclosure gets longer as each day passes and as each of those day's pass, another nail gets driven hard into the coffin.
This is no witch=hunt, it's a frikkin desire to account for monies received ....
