What type of paintball do you plan on playing? I'm assuming you'll be playing somewhere organised for paintball, in which case home fills should only really be a concern for training at home or teching? Or will you not have access to paintball facilities? Ultimately the point of paintball is to shoot someone else! So there should be gas about at the place you decide to play, if you get my drift. Or are you going to be playing backyard/renegade ball?

What I'm getting to is why do you want a paintball gun? If cheap gas is your main thing, then I assume cheaper equipment and hence a CO2 setup would probably be more up your street...but let us know what you see yourself doing with your gun.

Well my friends dad owns a wood. So we will be shooting there about 4-6 of us. And we are far....far away from any paintballing places.

You'll probably be wanting a CO2 bulk tank then, which would work out cheap if you split the costs. The alternative would be divetanks, which not only would be a hassle to fill, but the pressure they deliver drops off each time you fill, so you'd need several to last you a day's worth of play.

Try and get someone to show you how to fill safely, though, and be aware that CO2 is a "dirty" gas, which is not compatible with high end guns. It's pefectly fine for rental sites though, and I imagine will suit your style of play too, if its just mates having a laugh in the woods.

If you're anywhere near the coast, air would be your best bet. As you could get a dive tank and a fill rig, then fill the dive tank at one of the many scuba centres along the coast.

exactly what i was gonna say! if you livin in cornwall you gotta be near some dive places? if so air is better as it doesnt do any long term damage to markers like CO2 can do! hehe, i once froze a spyder... best thing for it now tho!!!!

just go with what you can afford for but remember that more often than not, you make your money back with air sooner or later!

thanks
