So how long before the everyday joes demand to get to play like the big boys? Will the other leagues cave-in to the demand from players who feel that the only skill they need to develop is the reloading of their hopper? I felt less fear Saturday night jumping into the cab of a stolen truck trying to wrest control from the drunk criminal behind the wheel then I did after a local dude spun on me and nearly ripped the goggles from my head with his magic bouncing Timmy. I don't want to play pump, but I don't want uncontrollable markers ripping me either.

Um, yeh, sorry bout that dude - I really tied one on on Saturday night and confused that truck with my Mustang...it won't happen again.

Note to self: Absinthe with Mad Dog 20-20 chasers is not a good thing on an empty stomach.

one would argue that the skill is not in shooting the paint, but avoiding incomming paint.

dodging 15 bps aimed at your grill is a skill in my books.

And as the game of paintball is 50% hitting your opponant, and 50% not getting hit, if it gets easier to shoot someone, then it gets harder to not get hit.

This then means that the major issue is safety. 15 bps in the back of the head has a lot more chance of seriously injuring someone than three.

And it may put new players off the sport, if what they're exposed to on TV is a group of dudes inflicting great bloody welts on their opponants!

For the record i support true unassisted semi auto, and although you can get any electromechanical gun to bounce you can set any electromechanical gun up in such a way that it does not bounce, not enough to give the player an advantage in rate of fire anyhow.

I don't really care about playing against fast guns, i don't mind getting ripped by muggers, or drilled on a run thru (jog thru for those who have seen me play lol). My concern here is to get a fair game.

Amen, and as I have been saying - and getting ripped for - since tha Jurassic age, thass only gonna happen when FA comes in, cos it sure as **** ain't happening now and hasn't been for a few years, no matter how much people may wanna kid themselves that it has...

nah being ripped dont hurt that bad......i got 12 on the top of me head from ginger martinez in Dam when he mugged me, yes i felt some pain but the subsequent outburst and threats of death soon appeased the pain! ;) :D

it will be so much easier to marshall overkill with FA guns than it ever will be to find cheat software and bouncing and ramping guns period!

i personally like to "do what you like as long as its no more than 15bps" option cos i would still prfere to pull the trigger somewhat, and if the penalties for overshooting are harsh enough i dont think most will go the FULL auto route but they will use 3shoots per pull or something similiar

Thats cool you feel that way but its illegal in most European countries including the UK, Germany, France, Spain (note any link these particular countries have ????). I just think that there has to be a way to police semi auto issues without having to cave in to the cheats and allow something that will result in players being arrested and worse - players getting seriously hurt.
Legally I don't see any way the Millennium or other European series will or can ever take this step.

No big boys toys for you Paul!

In the uk? Hell no, it would get rid of all those annoying fast little kids who play but aren't old enough to get a firearms licence!! Back to the old skool!! Old fat guys shooting at other old fat guys again......Piper clean your gat, looks like we might get a game at last!!
2005 season featuring EXXXL - fat men sweating for 50 mins and pit crews with cigs, beer and pies for half time!!
