and what exactly does one do to be banned?
Oh, I found that argueing with/insulting a moderator has worked pretty successfully on 3 occasions already. I'm currently stunned Nick is still around. I think Pete just enjoys playing with him more than he did with me. :( ;) :D

And the nxl does affect everyone else... Those boards will be created and they will spread, next year guns will come from the factory with an 'nxl' mode, already look at the stupid hartman post about the nerve. We are going backwards.
It's already happening. I regularly see NXL players using NXL guns at local fields and practices. I'd feel bad for all the kids they play against if the little ****s weren't all cheating with DB1 and insane bounce anyway.

Tonight I'm going to play with my J2 Pump gun. Let's see the kids work out how to 'bounce' that. ;)

Some kid is going to get hurt and his soccer mom is going to go on a rampage. Here I actually thought we were growing up a little when everyone agreed to change the CO2 tanks because there was two deaths. I guess we have to kill people for everyone to agree to something.

Man, I hate this industry.
Although it was horrible that it had to happen, I agree the good will and coming together over the C02 tanks was great to see. Why can't we do that more often and before issues get to that point?... Probably because of $$$...

Si, I just love the way Nick argues his way into absurdium :)
A sometimes sorry end for a man with so much intelligence I think.
Still, I have ended up getting to see past all that bull and quite like him, as I do you (not that my preferences are particularly important or anything) but I have to say Si, you never made the same mistake as him.
I think he sees my destruction in a thread as something to aim for but alas poor Nick, he has yet to succeed :)

But as for raehl, now he's another matter entirely.........he is the only one I have banned for good..and that is how it will stay :)

Cya in Vegas Si, and cya in Oslo Nick, lookin forward to them both :)

couldnt help but mention this after reading all this talk of making paintball ready for TV
No one has said wondered if maybe paintball isnt right for TV???
i'll give you my reasons and you can tear them apart at will, i dont play the game i'm giving you an opinion as someone who has spectated at a tournament

1. The most obvious one, that someone on here already mentioned i think. About the amount of stuff happening in a paintball game at one time, its not very viewer friendly unlike say football where everyone watches the ball.

2. Its one of those games which looks fun to play, but isnt particulaily fun watching other people play it. That is my opinion though.

3. It isnt that interesting to watch because, the crazy moves by people is what makes it fun to watch (yes i have watched xball too) but lets be honest, 70% is just men standing around shooting rapidly in different directions and then someone moves forward, more shooting etc etc repeat until you have mowed the other team. rarely does someone do something truly spectacular to the eyes, even "run throughs" aint that exciting to watch really.

this are my opinions as to why this game will never make it onto to television, flame it if you will

Well as far as what is interesting, that is all opinion. Nascar is the dumbest thing in the world, watching cars go around a loop a hundred times ... I'd rather pull out my finger nails... but rednecks love it.

If NFL films covered an event (pball), chopped it up and put it on TV just about anyone who watched would want to run out a play ball. But as a live event? Yeah right. And for those who have never seen the NFL Films crews work, don't even bother dissing my post. The reason?" Cause they are the best at telling the story at an emotional level. If you can convey the adrenalin and pain, victory and loss... people will identify with that. Doesn't matter what the sport is... Just present it so people can relate.

I think that if you read back through these forums you'll find plenty of people that have argued that paintball is not a television sport, myself included. Your post pretty much sums up how many of us feel. It's interesting to get this confirmed from a true spectator, if that is what you are. Not saying you're not, but you seem to have a good knowledge of the game, which suggests that you have at least at some point been more than just a spectator.

Agree 100%. In fact, I's just written about this very thing recently.
